$100 million class action suit

Of course you would say that, your paycheck depends on your ignorance to anything other than your own agenda. Parasite.

Are you saying that I am ignorant or the lawyers that took the $100 MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT? Get a life! They would not have taken the case if there was no evidence. So for you to say there is no discrimination against women at DSI was an ignorant remark. You must be in line for DM.

Yeah, and that "award" will be thrown out by the next court that reviews it. Lots of money will be spent, the d-bag lawyers will get rich, DSI will not admit to any fault, the angry women will all receive a few hundred dollars and life will go on. Once again, no big deal.

I hope your are right. I would like to keep my job. But I dont think that will be the ending and do believe it is a big deal. DSI will have to admit to fault and settle to avoid the possibility of paying large sums of compensatory damages. They will not take it to a jury. I dont think DSI is in any position to have to pay out more money. And this is just the first class action law suit..... To be continued

The people mentioned in the lawsuit were only managing 6 females in California. Lets be real about this, if that many can be named and all of the examples given by only 6?people, think of all of the examples and names given by the others that will be joining the lawsuit or starting another one.
Wonder if single fathers with kids will start one for being treated unfairly? I know this happens at this company.

Lawyers take cases all the time that have no evidence. It's whether or not one can convince a jury, and it doesn't take evidence to do that. Especially if you have a jury collected from....

......the Californians.

"

I know for a fact I was hired at a much lower salary and had twice the experience of some in my training class. Dig into your pockets, DSI. I'm coming after my share of the pie.

You were offered a salary and you accepted it. You had the right to negotiate a higher salary but you chose not to. Why do you think you deserve more? If they offered you 20K to start, would you have accepted it? Probably not. You accepted a number you would be happy with. Now because someone else accepted a different offer you think you can get more? Go one where else and get the salary you "deserve"

Excuse me but I don't believe anyone is capable of negotiating a salary 20k higher than what you were offered-male or female. Point is, most women are offered salaries 10-20k less than males with similar and sometimes even less experience. I've witnessed this first-hand so stop acting like women are the "retarded" ones for accepting a lower salary. Must be nice to be a big man who always gets what he deserves (or most likely doesn't).

Please. it's a bogus post. Are you telling me that everyone gathers around training class to compare salaries and experience? Yeah, that happens all the time.

I like how they can judge which experience is worth more or less, even though they aren't the ones making the decision. Perhaps the other candidate had a better "attitude"?

When you your own company you can offer all your prospective employees the same salary

You were offered a salary to accept or not, so why file a lawsuit about it? You can't explain your argument other than saying " it's not fair?" Pluueeze.

Why did I file a lawsuit? I tell you why! I took the 10 up to Santa Monica, then took took the 313 West past In and Out to DelRico, but the 301 was jammad, so I did a quick detour to Mulholland, down to the 6, and over to the 116. Then, I was at the lawsuit factory.

Actually that's exactly what people did. We were all brand new to the industry, less than two years out of college but got offered drastically different base salaries. Besides, if you actually read the lawsuit you'd realize it has to do with a lot more than salary. Every single woman who has been on maternity leave at this company who I have spoken to has mysteriously owed the company money upon returning from leave. And we're talking about thousands of dollars here, not pennies.

Did you ever think that the guys at training were so offended by the incredibly tacky inquiries into how much they make that they made up some inflated salary? Or maybe they figured this ditz is probably gullible enough to believe we make a ton of cash and we can probably hook up later.

I don't understand, how do they ask you for thousands after returning from leave? That doesn't make any sense.

I've had two children since being employed here and I've never had to pay the company any money upon returning to work. I only took 8 weeks off each time though so maybe that's the difference. It would not surprise me if men made more than women in the same job. It's still pretty standard practice in this country not just dsi of course that doesn't make it right. I took a lowball offer when I first started here because I didn't know any better. That was my fault and inexperience. However if some of the claims in this lawsuit are true then I hope something is done without more layoffs to pay for it.

There are only two female RDs watch them get promoted quickly and then females would be taking the vacated RD spots

How quickly do you think one of them will be promoted? Then a female will go into that spot, a female will go into the DM spot and another female will be hired!
Because of the lawsuit there will be 2 RD spots open and DM spots open that will be filled by women then the others by women. Soon this company will be full of women in leadership spots.
If the ABDs were aware of these complaints they should be fired too as well as HR!
So women not ready for promotion will be be because of this lawsuit! Nice real nice!
