Zoll Lifecor

Re: Zoll Lifecor/LifeVest

This divison of the company is an absolutely stay away from. Managing Directors in the interview for a rep will tell you some bullshit about how much they are growing and how great of a company it is.

Plain and simple they had over 42% turnover the last several years, just ask for the org charts the last 3 years and you will see if yourself. The reps will be given a low number to start and then about month 10-12 it is inevitable most reps will fall behind and make very little money.

The DME model, lack of reimbursement and limited indications make this a non-sustainable business. Dont buy the lies... stay away. More and more cardiologists are questioning the company and the reimbursement for their patients who are getting bills because insurance isn't covering.

There is a huge leadership void at the top of this company from the president on down. The leadership from the top is throwing the alarm about every third day about the numbers.

This will be a bad mark on your resume, wait and find something better.

This job is one product that has probably been introduced and re-introduced to your cardiologists ad nauseam . The only way to make money here is to grow and the only way to grow is to have some friends in the field who will give it a chance. Once the growth stops from your buddies then it is time to start sweating it out.
They will flash the big potential but even the managers know that most reps don't hit plan and only a few make the big dollars.

The company always has open positions throughout the US. They claim they are adding territories constantly and will feed you bullshit about the growth of the organization. True the revenues are growing rapidly however all that matters is what number determines your quota. Year over year increases of 150 - 200 percent are common. This translates in the possibility of making decent money in the 1st year but getting totally screwed in your second year. This is a 1 - 2 year gig at best. Not to mention the lack of talent at the Regional Manager level up to the President. I was a former award winning 1st year rep who was in the bottom 10 in second year even though my 2nd year numbers showed over 100% growth in order count and revenues. Problem was they handed me a 200% increase in quota. Best to steer clear of this company. Think I'm bitter, think again. Leaving this company is the best thing that happened in my career. My replacement rep lasted 6 months and the position in open again, go figure!

Poster #4 did the work for me, I was too tired to type in and explain why you are such a dumb fuck moron to be asking for advice on cafepharma. Simply put - recruiters are always 100% accurate with the potential of the job so get off your lazy ass and do some homework on the opportunity for your territory

Hey asswipe recruiter do you lay awake at night knowing you are in a dying business? Ever hear of LinkedIn? Gee wouldn't it be a great idea to pass over your sorry ass-has-been and go directly to the boss man hiring and have company save on your commish? CP is for someone who is asking for advice and it's fuck faces like yourself that ruin it. You must have been in real estate sales in your previous life. Piss me off with shit like your post, get the hell off CP if you can't help out one who is asking a sincere question or take your medication as RX.

What state did you work in? I just got hired and the previous rep only lasted 6 months.

dust off your resume in about 6-8 months you will be looking again, see that med order goal you have wait it will eventually get beyond you in about 6 months. Sad, Sad place to work, the new VP will eventually be frustrated by the president and head elsewhere.

This person is spot on. The company offers nothing to its best performers the 2nd year except more growth or splitting their territory {there's motivation} Sales Operations Director lacks understanding of the ability to forecast correctly and has little understanding of what actually happens in the field. Sales Directors are a great model of incompetence and have 0 people skills. One of them walking around squaking about being with the company for 18+ years and how great it is. NO in reality that's because you are a weak director and cant get a job anywhere else. Wake up ZOLL Board of Directors do you know what's happening at Lifevest, check the org charts, 40% turnover is ugly.

I can't stop laughing. Never in CP history have I seen a posting that is so accurate and confirmed by many on this thread. LifeVest is a decent product when not breaking down for no clear reason, leaving the patient unprotected. I had 3 recruiters call me before joining company, all 3 had no clue of turnover issues and one even said $160k @ plan. Well, if you had a large territory and were crushing plan, maybe, but reality is no one seems to hit 2 week quota (Yes! You heard that right, 2 weeks) and it gets better, that quota goes up every 2 weeks, so you're always chasing the carrot. Did I mention you must be 100% to plan to receive your measly bonus? With DME, billing issues, good luck with your revenue NOT changing randomly. Turnover is indeed 42%, a huge issue. Decent job for someone needing a job from Pharma, but not a big boy device sale.

I very much agree with former post, Zoll has now been acquired by a Japanese company, a smart japanese management team will look at the lifevest organization and reduce headcount asap. too many territories, not enough revenue and way too much forward spending. This company can't forecast to save their lives, their sales operations function is horrific, ML president is short sided and is lacks many skills necessary to lead people and relate to them. Most people walk away from this company feeling like it was a black mark on their resume. This company has a turn and burn reputation and they don't care.

A new VP in place with no Cardiology history... with a poor next level director management team of directors who have no leadership capability. 2nd year reps make half what they did the first year, and have 0 career path.

Don't listen to BS the knucklehead recruiters are feeding you on this company stay away.

SAN JOSE OPEN AGAIN!? This position is the like the drummer from Spinal Tap. Every 6 months the SJ rep must die a horrible death. We are talking 5 reps in 3 yrs. I shit you not.

I currently work for LifeCor as a PSR. Retired and have plenty of time to hustle and fit/train the patients. Money is great if willing to hustle. I sit back and wait for TM to call, I currently cover about 4 territories and do at least 1 a day.. I have no complaints but I can see how it would be tough for Reps (TM) with meeting quotas.

Hustling? Are you kidding me? How are you hustling when you sit around and wait for the call to fit a patient, typical PSR. Mine do the same and of course never take a service call, fuckin lazy! Funny thing is some of these goofs make more than some good reps with shitty territories. They get paid regardless if the rep ever sees any revenue and subsequent commission. Nice sales structure Zoll. No wonder everyone here is so pissed and leaves within a year, very motivating

This poster is spot on. The turnaround in the San Jose territory is unbelievable. I can't disclose any more info but I am in the know about this position. Don't listen to the recruiters or the hiring manager. This is not an expanson!! The territory has been doing miserably over the past 5 yrs. You have 6 months to perform. You will NOT make anywhere close to $150K. Closer to 79K.

One of the recruiters is saying that this territory is consistently over goal and is currently a 165k territory. The desperation is hilarious.
