I shared a coffee with a ZB sales rep this morning and got harassed about tracings??!! Medline, Cardinal, and Owen's & Minor pay Zimmer Biomet. Zimmer Biomet does not recognize ALL of those purchases and transactions to the Sales Rep responsible for that particular geography. ZB shows the rep what they want which is roughly 25-30% of real time quantitative sales. If they don't pay you on those hits then that's your fault for not tracking your accounts.

If Hanson Bernie, he's being propped up by the ex-Medtronic cabal in CT. They all have "strategy" in their titles, so they must be geniuses, right? Problem is that the leadership cohort is small minded and we can get away with Bernie as CEO. In CT they call they call all of this "strategic discipline".

During the evacuation cycle, the base plate cracked, leaked onto the floor and results in a collection of surgical fluid/infectious waste. The puddle resulted in an employee injury (fall) and exposure to the infectious waste. When speaking with our service support tech, he commented that the base plate cracking is a commonly occurring issue with this "version" of the cart. The cart involved in the incident was a zimmer biomet (dornoch) intellicart duo model #00514010200, serial number (b)(4). It was removed from service and returned to mfr around 6/3. The adverse events mentioned are legitimate? Are they actually complaints? What are the most common failure modes? Routine maintenance is the only category that escapes these types of repairs (complaints and adverse events).

What would be truly eyeopening would be if they actually reported all the “fails”, accidents and “other misuses”.
Our distributor does not request us to fill out PERs for revisions of our own products including simple things like liners, heads, etc. In fact, he does nothing to follow up when we actually do submit them.....I have not seen one of my complaints show up on the FDA report since the merger.
This is awful as we all know some products are lacking....but hey, we’re keeping the stock price up, that’s all that matters right?

Whew! Someone is fired up! I've seen Conmed come in with some new power that's taking over a few of my surgery centers. Face it. Zimmer Surgical has had terrible leadership from day one. There will be a Netflix special one day similar to Theranos on HBO that reveals the shady inner workings of Roche, Neil, etc. Their relationship with banks, accounting principles, and so on. I honestly believe these guys will go to jail. Not joking in the slightest.
