It’s sad how much BS is being forced down the throats of some great reps. Blatant desperation time with this camera. They’ve already lost some really good reps. Greg, Brad and Jon need to go.

How is it even plausible the talking heads mentioned above still have jobs? They continuously vomit canned poster rhetoric found on most high school counselor office walls. How many of these degenerates have actually gone out and sold OUR sorry product line? We have a gang of one-hit wonders who hit quota and are immediately promoted to some ambiguous position because they can't feasibly repeat their performance. And these are the individuals we are supposed to look to for guidance and expertise? I openly challenge any of our leaders to sell this bag of garbage to hospitals for one month with the terms and limitations they've placed upon us and come back with positive results. Micro-manage us all you want but at the end of the day our salesforce no longer trusts or respects this current leadership.

How many of us know someone who is resigning shortly or has resigned shortly?
How many have resigned since the meeting?
How many of us are looking for new jobs actively?

These are the topics that most of the sales force discusses on a regular basis...

This division has become a complete disaster. We have Shasta Cola products and our leadership/management thinks they're running Coca-Cola. I refuse to believe they're so far removed from reality that they don't comprehend the current environment. Yes, the salesforce speaks to one another across the country. With the situation as it stands, I've yet to find one individual who is happy here. Numbers don't lie. This machine is broken folks. I've never been a part of an organization that celebrates a $7,000 PO. But that's where we are folks. With all of the resignations, people put on plans, people approaching plans, and general salesforce apathy, where are the changes in leadership? Where are the changes in strategy? It appears management thinks the problem only lies within their salesforce which is why we've had the same lackluster people at the top for years. I pray heads roll by year end.
 






When will the new place in broadview heights be opening. Dover surgical is getting pretty thin. With a half time leader in the,future. What is left to keep the remaining plant In Dover.
 






I went back and read this entire 2.5 year old thread.
My how things have changed, and not for the better. Wonder if there is any other company in medical device that is more volatile regarding job security as a sales rep. Every time I turn around someone is leaving, quit, fired, or on a plan.
Our competition has split their division and is hiring a bunch of new reps. I am guessing they will have twice the reps they used to have with a more precise focus on their respective products.
But it is not even about them, its about us. Our products, our management, our culture, our comp plan, which are all in my opinion, some of the worst in the industry. big brother is watching in more ways then one!
Everyone I know is looking around for something better.
I wont be around to see what happens I know that.

If you are above your production numbers. Why are we working overtime to satisfy "earned hours". Doesn't seem very cost effective . Especially when employees are out of their own depts. Or when they come in on overtime to 5-S. Please explain earned ours!

For those of us who are not familiar with the lingo, e.g. "earned hours", could you elaborate?
 






I guess the term is man hours
They are telling us we are on mandatory overtime for almost a year now because we have to hit a certain amount of hours for our budget. Doesn't make sense to over produce. Pay taxes on product and raw materials just sitting there.

Hahaha. So true! We all know this division is coming apart at the seams. It has been for a long time. Reps are bailing left and right. Says a lot about the self touted culture. What a joke. Didn't Cleveland just fire Coach Lue? Hopefully there's something in the water!

Hanson trying his Medtronic Style isn’t working at all now there’s a scramble going on. Way to many chiefs and not enough Indians. When everyone has a answer for the issues and not one thing happens this is when reps leave with business. Hanson has failed from production, up to execution since he started. From the new 3D titanium to robotics, seems as if we are chasin everyone still. Hanson been in control long enough to get something accomplished by now other then making reps feel hopeless at times.

You mean the "Ponzi Scheme Division"? He's sure gonna know there's a surgical division when those monetized placements fully mature and hatch into the fake growth, cannibalization they truly are and realizes the growth was a one-time hitter in most cases that will never be replicated. (At least for a number of years) "I thought you guys were showing gains!?" Well, yes sir, uhhhhhh...let me explain..lol Good luck explaining that to the shareholders!
