Worst RD Stories at Supernus

The rooming situation is embarrassing. I thought they’d get rid of that years ago

Can’t we legally refuse to room with someone else? Has anyone ever tried to say no? Doesn’t this contribute to a hostile work environment when they don’t have our consent?

There is a way to get rid of the roomie situation, mr/ms millennial - get promoted or win p-club. Obviously you’re a bottom dwelling enterpriser so you’re not too keen on how to sell so it might be tough for you. Just try going to work before 11am and pass out a few copay cards that gives patients free meds and maybe you can learn how to be successful.

Oooo we are SUCH millennials. We are ALL the same. You sound dumb and child like. You need a roomie too. But wait you’re probably an overrated RD who has never made P Club or a rep who made P Club selling weight loss and psych docs. Either way... get a clue. Also, I am not the same poster you’re talking to and did not work at enterprise but even if I did... Supernus seeks enterprise employees out specifically, so quit contradicting yourself you lunatic.

Ok team
At the NSM, let’s meet by the elevators at least 15 mins before every scheduled session so we can sit together as a team in the front row

Be on our best behavior, u never know who is riding in the elevator with you.

And for Pete’s sake, act professional with the drinking- we are in a professional meeting , limit the alcohol

Be prepared to role play and be able to verbalize he script. We will get in a line and go through the script, if you miss a word, then you will have to go to the back of the line ..

See everyone at the reception , remember business causal dress means business formal , always dress up if you are in question

Make good points, get shot down with immature responses. Yep, that’s the Supernus Way. Corporate can’t handle logic. Still stuck in the 90s and pretending to be in “launch mode” 7 years later—the stock price shows it. I often wonder why the RDs aren’t sporting mullets

If it were only as easy as working before 11am and dropping off "free" copay cards. If this was the case don't you think we would have grown more than .20% market share points for the year. You are what's wrong with supernus! Advice: update your business logic to current market conditions and stop blaming the rep. If you really believe its soooooooo easy right now that all we have to do is work and drop off copay cards then you need to spend more time looking in the mirror every morning.

Don’t you know shit rolls downhill. If they had answers they’d be doing it. They don’t know, so they blame the poor reps getting beat up every day. Immature and irresponsible

I will agree the roommate grievance is dumb. Plenty of companies room employees together and to stop that would immediately double our POA expenses.

That being said, the counter argument of getting your own room is as easy as getting promoted or p club is just as stupid.

1. Promoted to what? RD? 1 position opens each year for 224 reps to go for. FST? Several individuals did get promoted to that level and were supposed to be awarded their own room, only to have that taken away one POA later.

2. P club is about 5% of the sales force. They earn the right to be there, but to say everyone else is a poor performer is ridiculous.

Supernus, the best thing you can do right now is a clean sweep of RDs like this one who are actively demotivating reps. The moral dip is real and it stems from those promoted to “leadership” positions who don’t give a shit about people.

Thank you! I agree with most of this, except that I haven’t met another company worth working for that does this with rooming. The simple fix would be to have 2 POAs instead of 4 if budget is actually the concern and not a smoke screen. (Can’t afford to do a POA right without damaging morale? Don’t do it Supernus) I think the POAs have started to add to the morale dip you mentioned.

I personally think the company can afford it. Adjustments could be made to venue, timing etc. to stay in the same budget. I just think they don’t care.

If your main concern is rooming situations I can't help you. The biggest issues at hand are how disconnected upper AND middle management are to reality. Also how the hell are we suppose to bonus right now. These products have been out for over 6 years and how our bonus is measured hasn't changed. THIS IS CRAZY.

Oh I agree with you 100%. Im not the op and I think the disconnect is real. I just wanted to point out that they can in fact afford it if they wanted to, and now it’s a morale stomper. Just one of many, but it’s been all over CP so it IS an issue for many of your colleagues.

(I know of some that have to take meds for health issues after hours and rooming with someone causes real distress and embarrassment. You shouldn’t have to disclose that to anyone if you don’t want to and asking and getting a room to yourself puts a bullseye on your back with other reps. Just something to think about.)

This is a lot more common than you know. I know someone with a cpap that hates the rooming.

BS. HR and Supernus are awesome with health issues and rooming. Did this person actually talk to their RD and HR about their room? Also most reps are good people and mind their own business. Stop with the fear mongering.

I see there are positions open. I often wonder if some of these posts are people trying to stir things up when they leave, or someone trying to leave. I read CP and it is not the Supernus I know. I’ve always found them to be fair

Supernus has been fair for the first few years. As of late its been a shit show how they have been treating the reps. If you can't acknowledge that then your opinion doesn't matter. I am still baffled by the fact that the field is generating record breaking revenues every quarter yet quarterly bonus payout is at a 5 year low.

Money is the only reason I am interviewing with other companies. I like Supernus but they make it ridiculously hard to get paid. Every quarter I lose writers that I earned and worked hard for. I just started my job search but already managers at 2 different companies have commented on how our bonus plan is crazy.

I don’t care about the rooming. But it is like insult to injury, so understand why some are upset

Our pay here is crazy low. Base salary for epilepsy reps at UCB is 95. Most are making 110+ as a base salary after just 2 years. The bonus structure is set up as growth of individual script goals for each territory. Typically around 5% growth quarter of quarter. If achieved it’s 10k if it is over goal it’s more if it’s under goal it’s less but every quarter you make bonus unless you’re under 80% of goal. They have one meeting a year and you get your own room for it. I have become tight with the UCB rep in my territory and this is what he shared with me.

I think what you’re saying is, I need to keep up my job search

If you think Supernus and HR are so great, try going on maternity leave. The std pay and policies are wayyyyyy behind the times. Get ready to be paid 40% less. And hope for no complications

An RD that talks about millennials nonstop. Is this TM?

Leaving the POA. We reviewed a box to leverage that has nothing new in it. I heard about a plan to refresh my own message. This level of BS is beyond comprehension.

To close, If you wanted us to care about SUPN stock price you should have awarded more than 500 shares.
