I think you’re confused on a few things. First, these aren’t your lunches; they are NNI’s lunches. Your DBM or RBD can attend these anytime they want to. You’re not being ‘pressured’ into anything - it’s just part of your job (and part of theirs). Let people do their jobs without crying about it.

And, if your manager is sharing the details of conversations like that with ‘a few of his close reps’, then you have a bad manager. I’m sure you like him/her a lot, but they are sharing information about private conversations that they should never share, which is in poor character. And, even without knowing the situation, I can say with 100% certainty that the RBD didn’t tell him she wanted a mole in the District. He’s sharing his interpretation of the conversation, and he’s probably a bit pissed that he didn’t get his preferred candidate through, so he’s a bit bitter. Again, more signs of a bad manager. Your issue here isn’t your RBD; it’s your manager saying shitty things about your RBD.

You misread original post, it isnt about the DBM or the RBD.
However, just for the record if an office doesnt want the manager to attend lunch etc. that is where the hammer comes down.

I’m curious, I’ve been looking at a position in St. Cloud, MN for almost a year now. Why hasn’t it been filled? Is the manager a micromanager or they just haven’t found the right candidate? It seems like if the manager is ok this position should have been filled a long time ago?!
 




NY regional I hear good things about you and that you go on here frequently. I beg you to look at your managers ride alongs. Some managers don’t have a schedule and go with some reps way more. And honestly it’s not because the reps need work. Please look at this and yes we have too many E reps.

ha! You must be the manager that always rides with same reps or an E rep that has 40 targets in 6 bldgs and think your 110k base is justified.

Of course I’m not. I know you’d love to accidentally bump into the person whom you try to insult on here, but it rarely works that way.
