If you need anymore reason to leave this disaster of a company just look at the so-called leadership. They chose these pathetic losers over all of the excellent talent at GNE. The latter were unceremoniously dumped for the snakes, wannabes, suck-ups, and sociopaths. When the head is lopped off the body can't survive.

What happened to the good leaders who got unceremoniously dumped was no accident. It was totally deliberate. It wasn't because they did not do well in the process. If they missed one or two, shit happens. When every good one was kicked to the curb, we knew the whole process was a sham and predetermined. Yes, you do need to have a demented "mindset' to get the leadership job. The progressive socialists in SSF just did not want anyone who would speak up to call out their BS scheme. They want to have their twisted agenda and the independent leaders would have crushed it. This place will get what it deserves.

No need to knock her like this. I used to work with her. She is actually a decent and smart person. She is just not an executive material. This whole mess just exposed her immaturity, and inability to manage change or lead people. Totally set up for failure and it shows. Frankly, there are much worse people around her. The list just gets longer by the hour. Any company is only as good as its leaders and products. Genentech lost both. If these wannabes in SSF cannot salvage and bring out the best in people to get through this debacle, this place is doomed. I just don't see any good outcome based on the current leaders in this place

Absolutely - these losers are hastening the demise. Strong leadership was vital 5 years ago going forward. Unfortunately, GNE went the opposite direction and we're seeing the results. Only the beginning of the disaster.

I have worked for 4 pharma/biotech companies before joining Genentech not too long ago. I have seen a fair share of bad management in every company. I must say that I never expected to see so many incompetent and questionable leaders under one roof. I always heard great things about this company. I kept asking people what happened. Everyone seems to have a different answer but they all agreed that all the good leaders that made Genentech great left or were let go. It all happened in a short period of time? But why? As a new employee, I am afraid to ask too many questions. This just doesn't make a lot of sense. I am starting to wonder if I just walked into a trap or nightmare. When i saw this post, I realized that I am not alone. Please share your insight. I think I am going to start looking for another job soon.
