Worst Amgen DM ever?

Cynthia Chiu McCleod. Hands down worst nightmare DM I ever worked with. The poor people on that Boston team- steer clear of her.

I reported to her when she was at BMS where she was basically forced out due to a massive compliance/HR investigation. If you disagree with her she will just push and push until you finally just lie to her because she is incapable of compromise. I’m honestly surprised Amgen hasn’t let her go. She made her former BMS onc team read an evangelical Christian self help book and then told a Jewish lady to leave the room when folks were going to discuss the book. It caused a massive legal scandal, and suddenly she was at Amgen

nailed it. Look at what happened last year when Amgen could see the results of phase 3 weren’t going to be good for that cardiovascular drug, instead of giving people the severance they deserved with a good layoff because of their drug that didn’t do anything to help patients, they find ways to get rid of loyal reps who had been performing well barely giving them a month severance and hire mediocre reps to take their place for much less money. They have started to take what was a great biopharma company that prides itself as being a step above and set apart from the norm of pharma and it has become what it prided itself on not being. It has been sad to watch it implode from the inside. More and more reps I talk to are not happy but aren’t sure what to do. I feel like we all stay because of benefits, but I had a friend do that and they stayed for the 401k and benefits even though their manager was an ass trying to chase them away was always rude on conference calls and saying things they shouldn’t to the rep, finally found a way to get rid of them even though they were a stellar rep. We stay for benefits like this person but forget they don’t give two shits about any of us and it’s a matter of time for any of us who don’t fall in perfect line with the I’ll equipped idiots they have as managers, at least down here. This industry as a whole is taking a turn for the worse, but I hoped Amgen wouldn’t fall to the prey of being typical pharma, but here we are.
The managers here are allowed to run a muck. That's definitely worse here at Amgen than anywhere I've ever heard. Manager in NC ran off so many reps in the same territory they finally just didn't fill the spot and instead just combined two territories. HR just lets her get away with it.

And I heard that she's back with Amgen after leaving

MK. Just an ass who thinks he is the shit. Everyone looks at him and the RBD and thinks they have the weirdest relationship. It’s like he doesn’t know they would sell him out in a heartbeat if it came down to him or their job. His territory is sucking now that he has chased all the good reps away and replaced them with people who don’t fight for their territory. Hiring people with almost no experience so he can make them into little yes bitches who don’t realize his advice is what will make them get kicked out of offices.

How in the world did MD wins coach of the year for a 2nd time in his career? He can’t keep a team intact. He lost 8 out 10 high performing reps in his first 6 months. What a joke of an award. How many times is he mentioned on this thread?????!!!!!!

I recently interviewed with your Regional Business Director KD in neuroscience and (full disclosure I didn’t get the manager role) I’m shocked he’s a Director for you all. I felt like I was talking to someone with a learning disability. I found myself slowing my speech down for him to keep pace. I’m not kidding. There is no way he got that role out of skill. Reading some of these posts makes me wonder why there isn’t a Director thread .

TN hired all INBU males as RD's under her
