Working for SS in the NE?? DON’T!!!

50k for the quarter!!!! Not semester

Awww...bless your heart, because you certainly have to have shit for brains. You think any biotech startup on earth is doling out $200k/yr in bonus? Go back to primary care, you’re dreaming.

All of us were paid target bonus in Q1, regardless of our % over or under quota, which was around $11-12k. Then, after Q2, we were “trued-up” based upon our % to quota across the entirety of S1. Top earners (which obviously you weren’t, or you would know this) were paid about $50k because of our performance across Q1 & Q2. Add the two up, and you’re looking at a total of $60k for 1/2 the year, dimwit.

You are truly a moron. Exactly. 11,500 for q1 50 for q2. Q3 between 30-35. You only tallied two bonuses dip shit. When you factor in q4 pay out, it will be about 120 in bonus for top earners.

This thread is very timely and appreciated. I am rarely on CP and was contacted by a recruiter for a position within Steve’s district. We come from a mutual company and know some of the same people. The overwhelming response has been to stay away from applying and his leadership. I don’t know Steve (in his defense) but from what was conveyed is that he has some of the highest turnover as a manager and can’t get over that he is still in a management role. I contacted the recruiter yesterday and explained that I’ll be passing on the opportunity. Good luck to you all

If you are doing your job, SS is great to work for. If you aren't, then he is going to be all over you. The posters complaining about SS may be hitting their numbers and probably satisfied with that, e.g. not looking to fill their sales pipeline for future quarters / semesters.

SS, is that you? Because nobody in our district feels that way.

Potential candidate here. Is he really that bad to work for? Complete transparency please.

Read the thread. SS district 40% turnover in less than a year, 50-60% by the end of it, guaranteed. Every other RD lost only one person, if that. He thinks he’s going to get promoted, and is stomping on heads trying to climb up. More of us are on the job hunt as a result of his hostile demeanor, regardless of how bad he now kisses our asses since he’s realized he’s fucked if any more of us leave. It’s hilarious to hear his hollow, self-serving promises. “I see you moving up. I see you as a DM. I see you as a CAM. I see you as VP of GPO. I see you as a payer. I see you as an astronaut.” Well Ss, we see you on fries. Super-size my Pepsi btw.

Thank you for your analysis. We will take your wild guess and baseless opinions as gospel moving forward. Stfu butt-plug...

And to answer the question, Ss is absolutely awful. His rep loss-rate in the 10 months post-launch basically says it all. Ask any of his past Amgen, Ipsen, Novartis, Algaeta colleagues their opinion of him. Ask the reps at those places who worked for him. Nobody has anything nice to say. Stay clear. It sucks working for this fatso.

I just saw him at NEHOPs in Burlington. He was really working the room especially with the other reps exhibiting. Had a goofy smile on his face and seemed to be shmoozsuckling up to everyone. I know at least a half a dozen people that have reported to this guy and only one seems to like him. Hopefully this will be his last stop.

I had a phone screen and now a face to face with this guy. Would appreciate honest feedback I have a job but possible layoffs.

What part of 40% district turnover in 3 months are you confused about? Even those of us that he’s supposedly pushing toward development & possible promotion are asking those lucky enough to have already left to find them an opportunity at their new company. We’re all looking to get away from him!

His boston division at Amgen 15 years ago was also a revolving door of talent, go figure. And after he left there, he went and pissed off everybody working for him at Ipsen to the point he was forced out of that place in less than 2 years. Same at Novartis. Hell, he’s only here because he begged his old boss from Amgen for a job. There’s clearly a reason that a guy who so desperately desires increased leadership responsibility is still only a DM after 20+ years. He sucks as a boss, and therefore cannot retain talent!

So don’t be fooled, he’ll purposely come across as goofy, quirky, and harmless. He’ll kill you with kindness and act like he’s your best friend, to the point that it’s uncomfortably obvious that he’s phony. Then he’ll micromanage the crap out of you from behind his fake smile, and force his opinions and objectives regarding the business over those of your own better judgement. Should you suggest an alternative, or question the direction being given, he’ll reprimand you and raise his voice to talk over your objection while doing so. It’s his way or the highway. There is no flexibility. And he’ll make sure you know your place.

So those of us still sadly stuck in his region say run, don’t walk. I have yet to meet another rep who has worked for him that has anything nice to say. And that includes our current team, or should I say, what’s left of it.

His skin so smooth like a sweet Jergens vacation

Rumors are true. Dude is awful. Good luck to those trying to make it there. Once they figure out they don’t need need all these reps the company will fire you. It’s a contract sale at best.

If you think the bonus here stimulates sales, go back to primary care selling iv iron. This place is the poster child of quota mismanagement and substandard pay. The clowns in sales ops couldn’t tell their assholes from their elbows much less gauge territory value. Then on top of it they’re cheap in those few instances when they actually have to pay. 200% to goal and you make 20 qtr. 300% and you get another 6. Wow, way to make it rain. Never mind the fact that 2/3 of us never even hit the 11k target. Mass exodus will occur the day after q3 checks are cut. Get ready to call your professional catering and pill pushing ex-colleagues about the fresh ”oncology” openings coming soon. This place is garbage
