Sorry...........I meant to say that most modern legislation involves the drafting of very detailed and lengthy documentation. The healthcare bill is not the exception, rather the rule. The fact that we have it, is a good indication that ethical healthcare practices are being introduced into our system. This is comforting, very civilised and a sign that we are evolving as a nation. The personal jibe was a cheap shot.....but fucking funny.

Growing bureaucracy is NOT a sign of a civilized people you MORON. It is quite the opposite. It is a step toward slavery, it is a movement toward the loss of individual freedom and identity. Bureacracy is intolerant of diversity, it only strives to make everyone the same... everyone equal. If equality is the end-all be-all, you need look no futher than N. Korea. We in America expect equal protection under the law, but not equal outcomes. We expect the right to PURSUE happiness with the knowledge that happines is not a guarantee, nor is it the same thing for all people. As free people, we can choose to be whatever we want, which includes being a bum... a bum has chosen a life not like mine, but that is his choice. I don't need or want a government forcing me to be equal to a bum. I did not choose that path.

Do you believe it is governments job to take money from people who make it and give it to people who don't? A simple yes or no is all that is required....
