The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.
Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.
 












Obamacare lives! And it will be a good, albiet half assed way to cover most of the nation with health insurance. But they'll be covered, and the economy will be better for it.

It will be a boon to Pharma, for sure. Way more sales, yet less margin. It may not be a boon to Pharma salesmen, but thats probably a good thing overall.

Now poeple who want to start their own businesses can leave a company and not worry about not being able to get covered on heath insurance. Surely this has to be a huge thing. Preexisting conditions are gone. Kids covered as they are getting out of college and getting a start.

And its paid for to a large extent by people paying premiums, squeezing the administrative and marketing costs out of insurance plans, and increasing efficiency.

Conservatives hate it because its a win for Democrats and the President in particular, and as Bill Kristol said... once the people get it, they will never give it up. Its a big reason why Obama was reelected - 75% of the people who voted for him said health care was a major issue in the election.

Thanks, Romney, and thanks, Conservative Media, for being such fucking tools. This never would have happened without YOU!

Obama won the moron-vote, just like this previous poster. The morons outnumber us... It's over. Government can write laws to force unsustainable business models, but they can never legislate the elimination of economic law. When the have-nots have taken all that's left, we will be left like Greece. It is both sick and sad, but that's what we have. Obama has failed by almost every measure (even his own), but the American people gave him a pass anyway.
