Why is Amgen IC so bad?

Why is IC ignoring Bioplus? All of Texas is getting killed on SGA and everyone knows why. Every other company in the space has a communication out on it already. Reps I see talk to me in every office and acknowledge their data went black. Their reps are begging us not to walk away from them.

Yet absolute silence from Amgen.

If the data went black, it’s not going back. The data is now for the streets.

no one ignoring bioplus

Yes. It sux. I’m given a new territory that started Oct 1 with fewer number of providers yet a large baseline and the new territory has not even hit the baseline assigned the last two months prior to Oct 1 start date (August and Sept weeklies indicate way below the assigned baseline)

Here are the facts. The worst reps may get the best territory sales - despite them. The best reps may land in the bottom of the rankings. If anyone on here thinks otherwise- you are ignorant and dumb. With Amgen, it’s a crap shoot. Most “chairman’s circle” winners could not sell aspirin. It is just the way it is. Having said that - if you are working long hours, you are wasting your time. Period.

If you’ve seen one rep, you’ve seen them all.

I've been at Amgen for over a decade and the sooner you fools realize this, the better:

Performance doesn't matter. Selling yourself does. Period.

Let's take rep A with a SGA of 150% 5 years in a row who doesn't spend his or her time recording everything said about them and incorporating it into an ACTIII slide,

versus

Rep B who struggled to break 90% of SGA but manages top 50% stack rank for 3 years and is adept at telling everyone how good they are, how they cross over business units for impact, how they won the "rep of the week" contest, how they got 88 Bravo Awards last year and spend a day a week polishing ACTIII slide

Rep B is the Amgen star every single time. Higher calibration, Higher merit raise, higher equity award, quicker promotion and moves on to perpetuate the entire scam of mediocrity and activity focus.

When you've been "selling" Enbrel for a decade and losing share every month, you gotta find ways to tell your story.

Learn it. Live it. Forget IC. It's a mystery bonus every single quarter. Even they don't know how they come up with it.
