Why have oncology reps been leaving?

Typical Eisai. Thanks for ten recycle garbage. I haven't worked there in a long time either but got these also. Loo
I've worked for four companies and Eisai is, by far, the most poorly run. The left and right hands don't know what they are doing and, on top of that, there are way too many home office staff vs. field sales reps. Oh, except in the one area that would be nice to have more home office staff: tech support.

I would say it gets progressively worse as you go up the chain of leadership. Many of the reps and DMs are pretty good but there are a few duds, of course. Proof that most of the DMs and reps are good is that many of them easily find other jobs with great companies.
The three RDs are absolutely the worst. Neither of them is fit for any leadership position, they out for themselves only. NS, with her prior HR background is the most treacherous of the three but they are all equally incompetent and they all lack the moral fiber to lead anything or anyone. They are not respected by the salesforce nor the DMs they work with. BM seems nice enough but is not an oncology leader and the lack of oncology leadership has created a vacuum. A vacuum that the three RDs are exploiting.

Yes, very demotivated salesforce. Akynzeo's a turd with a small market potential and that's only if managed care and in office dispensing pharmacies are promoting it. Then, Halaven has had no new data (NO, 301 and 305 are NOT new data!!!) in five years. I agree that Lenvima has a promising future (but recall, so did Halaven in 2010-11......the Eisai Oncology leadership couldn't get laid in a whorehouse....always snatching defeat from the jaws of vicotry) but that promising future could be years away. For now it's a compound for the few of us with centers of excellence.

How is Aloxi doing, and the co-promote with Helsinn?

One of the biggest challenges facing Oncology is the messed up quota system. If you do really well for a quarter or two you get nailed for it for at least the next three quarters. It is so volatile it makes zeroes out of heroes and heroes out of zeroes. Needs to be fixed.

A lot of Pharma companies are like this but at eisai it is extreme. Sorry company.

Like it has been said on this thread before, Once you realize that the the quota system at eisai is not designed to reward performance but rather to deliberately manage and limit payout regardless of rep performance it all becomes clear.

No one in Eisai oncology will ever make BIG money on bonus for an entire year.
Nightingale winners all know this too well. Nice trip sure and all the dipshit upper managers get too go for free too.
