Was there a positive spin on Metabolic?

HQ insider here, I sorry to tell some of you but there will be NO layoff in Metobolic.
I know many of you wish there would be but based on profit margins and staff costs it isn't going to happen in Metobolic.
Again, sorry to some but there is No plan to layoff anyone in Metobolic but there is in other areas.

An "insider" that doesn't know how to spell Metabolic (Metobolic). Par for the course. Sure...you're an insider. Buzz off.

Spelling, oh well but understand the content.

No lay off in Metabolic

Wishful thinking. We all hear about the Jonestown meetings and BS being feed to the exSolvay minions. Problem for them is that it is a whole new ballgame. Without the Abbott huge revenue to hide behind, financial results in AbbVIe are laying bare ass naked to stockholders and analysts. Fat will be trimmed and your area is the fattest and most obviously inappropriate use of resource in the company.
Can see how the party line keeps getting fed about great opportunities on the horizon etc, but you got nothing but a dying dog on your hand now and nimble, efficient companies do NOT carry people on their payroll just to cajole them or be nice.
I second the aforementioned notion that the dividend increase will be partially funded with the reduced wasted expense being poured into Metabolics. Other areas eventually will certainly be trimmed too but Met has been standing in the axeman's line for a very long time. Its time to start approaching the block. And it will be soon.
You can run but you cant hide.

I work at home office also, there is NO layoff of the Metabolic franchise planned.
You may wish for that to happen, maybe it should happen, but Metabolic is a money maker and protected and they will not be laid off so forget that. Trust me I know.
The cash cows of their product line are rep sensitive and that my friend is the number one reason they will not be laid off. Sure we are not back filling positions unless it's a must, so in that respect the Rep numbers are shrinking but don't expect any one there to loose their jobs, that's a fact.
Cheers

Hey, I work at home office too! Maybe we have passed on the elevator? Well, this is the real scoop re layoffs. They are coming fast and furious. A lot of bickering going on as dept heads try to protect their people, thereby protecting themselves. But alas, it is going to be brutal and what the BOD and stockholders expect. With a handful of current products and of those only Humira solid for a full year, the fur will fly.
Indeed Metabolics is at the top of the list as they are the ones who have disappointed the board the most regarding the slope of their revenue decline. By the way, HO also has gotten many many calls from offices complaining of Metabolic hounding, nagging and general feeling of just having too much time on their hands. The doc s are no longer your friend, they are pressed for time and don't appreciate 2-3 reps calling on them every couple weeks with the same old story and coupons and vouchers and lunches.
The entire paradigm has shifted and excess reps are only causing friction, reduced revenue and hastening the timeline of going to huge, 1 man territories with infrequent visits and sample drops. Sorry but that's the deal.

That makes so much sense that it must not be true I know Met reps that actually have second jobs. That is how bad it has gotten. And, that was only created by the over protection of Met reps. Get on with it!

Creon and Lupron have large territories and one rep. It actually works better when there is accountability. There is currently none in Metabolic.
CV also had large territories and either 1 or 2 reps. Their drugs were very sample sensitive. Plus, Synthroid sample availability has been really cut back and Androgel is not even sampled. There are so many falsified "detail only" calls that it is ridiculous!!

I just want a severance pkg and will be on my way. The above is all so true. No body with a half brain is doing anything now for several obvious reasons. One, no accountability with masses in each territory. Secondly, Andro is dying on the vine on multiple fronts. And finally, the offices are plain sick and tired of seeing us.
C'mon just put us out of our misery (those with IQ over 8 who realize the above), payup sev and watch the script numbers probably go up alittle.

I agree. This dog wont hunt and we are just kidding ourselves or letting ourselves be punked with all the BS rhetoric. Get this over with and move on. At least start to thin this absurdly overcrowded rep situation.

Having an arrogant Solvay/Metabolic team is completely understandable.
No consistent expectation requirements for years while everyone else has either been downsized completely or selectively pressured out for falling short of revenue goals.
Not them. Everything stays status quo as their Jonestown attitude prevails.
Thus has got to be addressed. It is far too blatant to be swept under the carpet any more.
Stockholders will start wondering as reported Agel revenue continues to crater after it was touted as the #2 revenue gainer just after Humira. Other sales organizations are not happy nor fooled by this obvious politically motivated pandering.
This will get leaked externally to analysts. Afterall we are talking hundreds and hundreds of reps stumbling around with no business return.

Still trying to figure out how the hell this inconsistency in Metabolics has been allowed to go on. Their falling revenue trend and negative product environment (generic intro, cardio concerns for testosterone, etc) have been seen and known for a very long time. There are literally 6 of them in my general territory. Have heard average is 3-4 nationally. Company cash, profit and general sales morale in other hard working, accountable areas have all been negatively effected. Pathetic, political company.

I wonder if Big Jim has the FDA decision yet?

What decision might that be? Has magical Jim developed his own drug in his basement?
I sincerely hope you are not referring to Vagigel or whatever, the magical testosterone cure for female cardio issues! Do you really think the FDA would ever approve giving a male prevalent hormone to women without at least 8million years of safety data? It has shown risk already in many men! The FDA got burned on estragen already.
If anyone is waiting around for this, I feel sorry for you. It has not even received any JAMA or other credible MD discussion.
Just a ploy to keep us *yes I am in this same boat: but my IQ is alittle higher then my shoe size. Gimme my fkn severance pkg so I can move on out of this BS, fairytale organization run by a used car salesman, Magical Jim. I will not go to Jonestown!

If it proves to save lives, the FDA would be callous to ignore the findings. Take a look at what are considered other Landmark Antihhypertensive trials and you will see how significant the findings are. If the 71% risk reduction in CV events is accurate, then it appears to blow everything out of the water. (This is not a small phase II trial that produced these results)

I agree, in light of Estrogen and fiascoes like Vioxx, the FDA will be cautious which explains the way the safety/efficacy study was set up.

Excerpt from the AHJ article - A cardiovascular safety study of LibiGel (testosterone gel) in postmenopausal women with elevated cardiovascular risk and hypoactive sexual desire disorder"

******************************************************************
The Libigel study not only attempted to rule out a preapproval level of risk after an average of 2 years (range, 1-4 years) of treatment but also includes a postapproval commitment to follow participants for a total of 5 years each including a period after the primary regulatory analysis and potential approval

Now, can you tell me why Abbvie is wasting their time on an invention to apply topical medication without getting your hands dirty?

Doesnt matter. Rick G. has already stated publicly that the future of Abbvie is not in Men's Health. They have stopped production of the second version of AndroGel and hormone replacement therapy is not in our future for men or women. The interest from Abbvie in the study was when the market dynamics were a lot different. In 2012 we were riding high 30% year over year market growth with few obstacles. 2015 is very different.

Apparently, Mr. Testosterone above feels this would fall under 'women's' health
and therefore be a different market. So we need an invention to apply this test.
on women but we have to ensure it doesn't get 'touched' by them when it's applied?
You're kidding right?
Whoever you are that is obsessed with this female version of testosterone
enhancement for CV benefit, suggest you find a different wagon to hitch your
horse to.
How bout trying to get a real job in a different franchise/company before the obviously
this one finally implodes from internal and external pressure. We are being played while
they get the ax sharpened. This franchise is far too naked to continue surviving based
on a Ponzi scheme and politics. Things need to be tightened up
