You forgot some activities:

5) order extra food and take home
6). Pickup kids @3:00 and go to soccer practice
7). Go workout at gym around 8:30
8). Go to hairdresser @1:30
9). Go to fancy resorts for NSMs - - - eat, drink, screw to excess
10). Use company car for family vacations

Don’t forget:

11.) Add more “speakers.”
12.). Pay them to have dinner with their friends and coworkers a few times a month.
13.). Hammer them weekly for not writing enough Vraylar.
14.). Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Why does this insanity continue? Is management blind to the reality of field sales? No wonder most of us pretend to call on non-existent customers! I had several docs tell me that are tired of multiple reps selling the same drug! Therefore, they are closing their practices to all pharma reps. SOS! I need to get a real job, my self-esteem is rock bottom!!
Put yourself in the position of a doctor. Why should he spend his time with you when you bring nothing else but rehash? There is no value in it for him. You don't tell him anything new he hasn't heard 50 times.
Remember: "All of us want to tell a story 100 times, but we only want to hear it once."
Pharma hasn't provided any value to physicians after the second call! It's the same story everywhere.

The weekly goals are so varied and now that they split some territories into smaller segments, some weekly goals are so small and some are so large. Some have open Medicaid access some require 3-4 failures before approval. Sales and analytics can spin it 5 ways of sideways but with these kinds of differences, it’s not an equal playing field when strictly looking at TRx attainment.

Amen to that! It’s completely ridiculous and unfair that Medicaid status isn’t considered in goal setting when it makes up 40% of the atypical market in some geographies? There are quite a few states that have zero steps on medicaid and others that require 3-4 steps. How is that not factored into goals.

Because the goal setters are lazy. You gonna have territories grow by 20%. Some territories, that could be 8 TRX per week; some 50+. Smaller territories should have higher growth percentage

It’s absolutely demotivating. You can’t compete fairly when the MC access isn’t considered and goals of 60 vs goals of 300 per week shouldn’t be in the same playing field.

people get fired every day. It’s usually due to compliance reasons unless your territory is generating a lot of scripts and revenue for the company…then they look the other way!

Let’s give it up to those low volume VRAYLAR territories winning Summit this year. Low volume = Low goals. Another example of how Psych isn’t compensating territories that are driving revenue.

Low volume territories and any idea why certain pockets of the country absolutely dominated the summit wins? Apparently it was the same geographies on the migraine side too. And don’t tell me it’s because they’re better at the challenger sell.
