Viiv

Bottom line, HR needs to be contacted. Until that happens we will have egotistical leaders, just like Mr. Barrett, do and act without consequence. It defies all common sense to hold TAM's accountable for "face to face" call activity during a global shutdown. At a time when civil unrest is at a peak. At a time when new COVID-19 cases are beginning to increase. How in the world has he been allowed to place the lives of employees and their family members at risk? Where is management on this issue? Is Deborah Waterhouse or Lynn Baxter aware of any of this? This is the perfect example of the inept leadership we have inherited from GSK. While I have an enormous amount of gratitude for being employed, I value my health and my families health over a couple of prescriptions. ViiV needs to rid itself of this type of leadership. Let's hope people have the strength to do what is right and stand up to leadership on this issue. The life you save may be yours, an elderly parent, or a compromised family member. Or, we can continue to be bullied by abusive tyrants like Lewis Barrett.

All I can do is to look at the facts. COVID-19 is novel virus. It is highly contagious. It can cause both severe morality and morbidity to human beings. News outlets such as the NY and LA Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, just today, have stated that we as country are beginning to see an increase in new COVID-19 cases. Additionally, flu season is also upon us. These are facts. Apparently leaders within our organization haven't kept up with current affairs. Leaders such as L. Barrett are pushing TAM's back into the field. If I or one of my colleagues were to contact COVID-19 and or pass it to a family member who may have a negative outcome, who would be liable? ViiV Healthcare? GSK? L. Baxter? K. Fink? L. Barrett? It's a dangerous path this company is going down. Profits before people. I like the idea of our leaders getting out into the field for a month. No TAM's just the sales leaders. See what it's like out there. How many of our customers are still not seeing reps. Then see how your spouse reacts when you arrive home every night after being exposed to the frontline of COVID-19. Not one of them has or will do this. What does this tell you about our leadership?
what is your solution? They have said to sit home remotely ? Would you prefer to get furloughed?

Instead of complaining “someone” needs to report this required face to face matrix to HR, do it yourself. Show some backbone and principle. If you are so concerned about the potential risks during a pandemic to you and your family pull the trigger and quit complaining. Everyone complains and bitches but when it comes down to doing something for real; crickets. Too bad the only real high moral ground is in word only and not in action. Silence is complicity.

How do you know some of us have not reported this issue to HR? Call the integrity hotline. It can be done anonymously. Complaints are handled by an independent third party. You will receive a case# which will help you document your complaint. Again, it is 100% anonymous. Oh, maybe I've said too much? Trust me my good friend, we have not remained silent. So if you feel that you are being pressured to go into the field and that your health is being placed in jeopardy, call the hotline. The more complaints the better. It's time to let our company know that we are all willing to work hard and do what it takes help this company grow, but not at the expense of our health and that of our families. If you are comfortable with the current managerial expectations, then don't worry about it. Up to you. How's that for staying silent and complicit?...allegedly.

Let’s just cut to the chase - each territory needs 1 “pill” rep and 1 “shot” rep (assuming it will get approved one day). Survival of the fittest, just pray none of your overlaps are of minority persuasion or you gone, regardless of performance;

There's never such a thing as anonymous. Trust me your line is tracked even if it was a third party vendor. Your recorded during the process and it won't take long to figure out who you are.

Believe me, it's anonymous and the only way it can be tacked is if you identify yourself. Stop spreading fear. Besides, I already dropped the dime. It will be what it will be. HR is going to get involved on this one. And if you're that paranoid about speaking the truth you coward, just call from a friends phone and have your spouse give the complaint. Something tells me heads are going to roll over this one. ..allegedly.

Don’t be naive, third party is your Human Resource department.

Just to set the record straight, the toll free integrity hotline is handled by a 3rd party. They have no affiliation with GSK and simply document the issue being reported. They do not trace your phone and all of the feedback they give to HR is in electronic form. How do I know this? My wife works in HR for a large company. So if you have a valid issue that you believe is questionable, report it! If there are several people calling in similar complaints, HR will move quickly. My wife works in the insurance industry. All of their employees are mandated to work from home until January 2021. So for our organization to expect its employees to walk into a petri dish everyday during a pandemic does seem reckless.

HR in other industries are run different than in pharma. Pharma HR is all about jamming people up. How about those anonymous 3rd party vendors that do the surveys. Have seen it a million times when rep did survey on culture or his manager or RD and gave them bad reviews within two weeks the ride a longs would start and business plans would be initiated. There's no such thing as anonymous in pharma. Keep dreaming. Stop with my wife works in HR for a waste management company crap. You will be targeted. End of story. No such thing in anonymous. The area code and prefix numbers are all logged and it takes very little effort to find out who you are. Voice recorded and regardless if it's your wife or the pool guy calling for you the phone# is logged with area code. EASY TO DO REVERSE DIRECTORY ON PHONE.

I have done this before- the 3rd party company acts in between and decides to tuen it over to attorneys for legal cases or back to HR. HR usually is involved at some level and has knowledge of the case... I also work in a state that is mostly shut down. Consistently we are compared to states that are open and we are asked if we are comfortable doing F2F. If doctors offices are only allowing patients with appointments why are we measured on the same metrics? Can’t we use this time to strategize something else useful other than filling out stupid forms. It’s such a missed opportunity to not conform to providers needs. We need different resources that aren’t going to blow relationships with doctors by having managers on a virtual call asking doctors stupid questions and not following through on customers needs! Stop wasting time and train us to be more useful in the company during this time. I can’t change public health restrictions. Talk about laying us off but why not change our roles so that we can work in different areas that need help and strengthen our skills and relationships. Those that don’t want to do anything can make a choice to leave

Anonymous or not, if you feel the company or more specifically and individual within the company is doing something unethical, it is our responsibility to report it. In the situation that people are talking about on this thread, it does appear that a manager has gotten their nose ahead of their skis. I find it difficult to believe that HR or upper leadership will endorse a rating system that hold reps accountable for things that are uncontrollable. I find it difficult to believe that our lawyers will endorse a system that encourages face to face interaction with offices that are located in areas where COVID-19 cases are still rising.

As far as reporting issues to the integrity hotline, if someone chooses to utilize this company endorsed mechanism, that's their business. Those that are discouraging it sound like management, frightened little wussies, or both. We all have one life to live. Treat people as you would want to be treated and when their is injustice, confront it head on! I just spoke with an individual after calling the integrity hotline. I reported the facts. I'm good however this turns out. Peace and Gods speed!

If you are telling us the truth, THANK YOU!! I have a family and am terrified of what ViiV / GSK would do to me if I reported this issue. GSK has a long history of retaliating and I have seen it on a local level many times. The call activity report that is being used in the West is not only unfair, it's unethical. Thank you for speaking up!

And that's exactly why during a pandemic where offices are closed or limited access is available why this rating system should be reported and exposed to upper leadership. The individual responsible should be held accountable...and will be held accountable. Just watch and see. That's all I'm saying about this. Just watch and see.

I had to use the speak up hotline not long ago and it was taken seriously; action was taken against the offending person (fired) and had no retaliation against me. I understand people’s fear; this is their livelihood. At the end of the day, people doing wrong need to be called out. They put the whole company at risk. Trust me, the lawyers and Senior Management would rather throw these middle management idiots under the bus than have some kind of law suit. Integrity has its rewards!
