Very dumb recruiters

I am one of the very dumb recruiters - reading these posts made me laugh out loud as I have always wondered if cafe pharma posts are useful. Useful no....entertaining yes!!BTW I, for one, always follow up personally with candidates I hope will be persistent and apply for other opportunities, even if they didn't get the job they just applied for. There are too many legal reasons not to speak to horrible candidates who I can't in good conscience send forward for consideration by the hiring manager. Could this be why you don't hear anything? Food for thought!

There are like 50 or more of these recruiters...they work independently and some are good and some are bad. Sometimes territories get cancelled and you never hear from them or sometimes they switch recruiters and you don't know who you will be dealing with. Most don't work the same contracts for same areas more than once so you never know who you are going to get. And there is lots of turn over so who knows who your next recruiter will be. And I don't think they communicate well with each other so if you don't get picked for one position and then apply for another opening, you have to start from scratch with the new recruiter who knows nothing about you. Very annoying! I think they are at the mercy of how things are run in the company. Either way, if you don't like it...don't apply!

Shut the fuck up you rambling moron.

So I got a call 8 days ago from one of these twits claiming she had a "great opportunity and I needed to respond ASAP". So I did do so 5 times since then and sent 3 emails. She won't respond. Where does PSS get these useless hacks? Does anyone manage or oversee these idiots? I know this is just a CSO but what a unprofessional clusterfuck.

4 weeks ago a recruiter promised in her words "to absolutely let me know within a week about the next step of the interview process". Now 4 weeks layer and she will not return my calls or emails. Most unprofessional group of idiots I have ever encountered. Hard to believe that PSS lets this go on continuously.

Talked last week with one of these rambling, dimwitted twits. She said she knew very little about the position but will in a few hours and will contact me by the next morning. Now it's a week later. She won't pick up her phone or reply to my voice mails. Where do they get these losers? Are they all meth heads like this twit?

What is PSS policy for their full time recruiters - Can they double dip doing recruiting for other CSO's and/or manufacturers?
Double dipping is grounds for immediate termination for the reps. I would think PSS has the same policy for their recruiters.

The recruiters are very young and clearly, very inexperienced. Most have no clue on how to screen for candidates. They throw out top people just because they may have gone through a layoff or reorganization. One of our premier people applied was actually denied an interview just because they were between jobs! Incredible. These recruiters have no idea that top people are laid off because the company is going through changes and a thinning all staff. Instead of using this as an opportunity to latch on to top talent these neophytes are throwng the resumes in the trash!

From what I have heard and experienced here the recruiters are all 1099 independent contractors and don't work here directly. They get work sporadically. That is why they are so clueless about so many things and basically are just doing as little as possible to place anyone in front of a hiring manager. You can tell bu their attitudes and their lack of fulfilling their promises they just could care less. PSS really doesn't care if they double or triple dip since they are just transient contractors. You get what you pay for and the recruiters here are a perfect example of that.

Spoke with one of these dimwitted clowns last week. I am pretty certain she was completely drunk since she was slurring her words and asked me 3 times the name of the company I was presently working for. Hard to believe just how screwed up this place is. Would would anyone work here?

I interviewed and discovered that the hiring manager had falsified his background. He had been fired by a previous company. He simply removed that company from his LinkedIn profile. PSS did not check his background or he would not have been hired.
Pathetic company.

I had one of their recruiters from Tx call me. She had a full time job out the home, so she was totally unreachable during regular business hours. She would call at 10 or 11 pm trying to screen candidates. She was very unprofessional and I could not understood why her boss kept her around.

Because as a 1099 employee, they have no control over who and what you do. You are an independent contractor and as such your contract can be terminated, but you can't be fired. They receive no base salary or benefits of any kind. Publicis will grab a hold of this opportunity and allow drunkeness, unprofessional behavior, and double dipping because they're not having to pay a dime.

Unless a placement is made... Other than that there is no upfront expense.

They do not get placement fees. They are paid an hourly rate on a as need basis. That is the cheap way to go and that is why PSS does it and that is why the recruiting here is so unprofessional and screwed up. You pay shit you get shit. No mystery there.

Wow, I think you completely nailed it. My thoughts exactly. The recruiting here is an absolute embarrassment to the industry, the company and the profession. I just don't think Publicis cares at all. They have to know how messed up the recruiting is and they just really do not care at all.

And they bend over for the corrupt managers.

PEOPLE NEED TO RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

SHOOT, RUN FROM THIS INDUSTRY!
