Veklury Insitutional Sales Specialist

I'm in no way taking up for the original post in which you're responding however this BU was in line to get the pulm fibrosis product until after we found out it wasn't coming to market after all which was literally a month after training. The company was also working on an outpatient indication for VKY that never came to fruition. I think all of us can agree the pharma industry in general is just not the most stable place to be right now. Criticizing people for taking a chance on this drug and this company isn't warranted. It wasn't necessarily an unintelligent move albeit a wrong one. I for one left another more stable position and also turned down another offer to work here with high hopes there would be more opportunity than has presented itself. One day you may find yourself in a similar situation so don't throw stones.

Joining was a calculated risk. Don’t complain if it didn’t work out, just find something else. As they say, “them’s the breaks”. You’re not special honeybun.

WTF?? The person wasn't saying they are "special" they were making the case sometimes you take a chance & sometimes it doesn't. You're so full of hate you can't even interpret words correctly.

Most of the reps are tenured highly successful multi award winners who can clinically account sell with the best.
The issue is with the leadership who run this business unit like 1st year 25yr old primary care reps.
A few of the RDs understand account management & have alot of specialty leadership experience. The rest just talk a big game with alot of spin zones!
Our Region has lost half our reps in 6 months.
The other regions will follow if HQ leadership doesnt start improving strategic judgement and decision making.
Our VP & ED just dont know what they are doing from a strategic, motivational & vision perspective.
All of us reps are hoping they accelerate their learning curve and come around to leading us and stop baby setting managing us

You keep posting the same general thing, but us in the other divisions could care less. We knew Remy was a short term opportunity, if you and your peers are so superior, how did you not know?

They must start with the IC Bonus debacle. Whoever was on the committee that decided random inaccurate patient admission for treatment rate should most of our Bonus, should have their RSU taken away! They did not think this one through at all, nor have they changed or done anything to correct it.
I heard our RD was a part of this IC decision along with the ED & VP. Maybe that's why half our region has turned over.
Huge difference in leading vs managing

You all need to learn a few things. Start with knowing the field may input to IC but Foster City IC and analytics make every decision final. They need help across our businesses. People aren’t leaving because of leadership. Or maybe they are because they can’t take accountability. Regardless these complaints and completely off base and spoken from those needed big pharma comfort to get lost in mediocrity with steady bonus. Knock on corporates door for change. Not your boss.

Apparently you don't know as much as you think you do. No one is saying they're superior. I'll be the first to admit it was a dumb move. DUMB AS HELL to think Gilead would come through for us. NOTHING they have promised has happened like the pill version or the out-patient infusion or the pulm fibrosis product etc... Excuse the fukc out of us for thinking enough of this company and leadership to take a chance hoping this would in fact lead to brighter things. We thought enough of this company to want to be a part of it. god how awful we are to even think such a thing. Trust me people like you remind me every day what a stupid move it was. Seriously you can stop gloating now.

OK since you know so much then explain to me why you think this IC works so well then?? Seriously... enlighten me. 5 out of the the entire BU made quota and you're saying that's bc the entire BU sucks? The add-on DRG supposedly doesn't even cover 1/3 of the cost of treatment and what do we have to in our bag of tricks to grow business?? ACTT1. That's it. Otherwise we have to call someone else in (like MSL) for another discussion the customers don't even want to have any more. So once again.... explain to me about accountability when leadership can't take it themselves. So far high surge areas = making quota. Isn't that a little counter to what we should all be paid on???? We should hope for a decrease. Of course people like yourselves forget this is truly about the patient. Do the territories with surges hold themselves accountable for that?? I'm damn proud of my territory for keeping hospitalizations as low as they have.

This shows you the leadership, judgement & decision making of our management team in deciding to have a National Meeting in middle of what will be Delta surge across US when the vaccine doesnt work well against Delta.

The high IQ of leadership thinks its safe to travel in 100% packed airplanes for 1-2hrs while waiting in airports pre and post for 1-2hrs not to mention half or us have to spend 2-3 hrs for layovers!
Big hotels that have international travelers and packed group meals at packed restaurants!
This is 100% negligent and liable should just 1 of us get covid.
While they say "it's optional..." you are singled out if you are one of the few who dont go and looked down upon like a anti-vaxer Trump supporter.
If vaccinate it doesnt stop you from being a carrier & taking back home spreading to family friends & small kids!
This is unacceptable times to be making such reckless careless & potentially life threatening decisions while putting our families at risk.

Legal needs to step asap & cancel /overturn this horrendous decision by the VP in order to not but employees and families at risk!

I have already consulted a family member who is an employment & disorientation laywer.

You’ve got to be kidding me, now the news has scared you because of the “delta” variant - jeez, are you ever going to leave the basement and explore the scary, scary world?

no one is saying it works so well. Simply confirming that it’s Foster City messing the field up. Not field leadership that aren’t allowed to steer the ship. Trying to change incentive Comp is a tail as old as time and so far the field gets bullied into submission. They need to flip the Foster city house for real change that reflects what sales analytics and projections should be.

Ok K, nice job of trying to remove yourself from helping develop the worse IC model in the industry. Pass buck to HQ, nice.
You know that leadership designed IC and HQ only approves. Stopping skirting the issue & lying to deflect accountability for piss poor decision in building this inept plan!

Perfect example of not having good judgement.
Delta is rapidly spreading , especially in IL & TN the 2 meeting sites. I was going because I didnt want to be singled out being one of few not attending thus being falesly labeled & discriminated.
But now with the surge of hospitalizations hitting a yearly high in Chicago & Nashville, I m reviewing my legal options under employment laws
Whomever made this decision knowing odds of post 4th holiday summer surge was high, just was not smart at all.
Whomever signed off on this idea was also clueless.
And yes I have had my Pfizer vaccine but all over world vaccinated people are getting Delta and spreading back home to family, kids, grandkids
