UROVANT SCIENCES

Same exact treatment. Same thoughts- give Warren and Mr Sanders til the end of 2021 and the industry may be a memory. They don’t mind crushing oil and gas and pipeline industries and all those jobs do why won’t they neuter Pharma? Oil and gas lobby is huge and got f...., so bend over and grab the ankles.

That's what everybody said in the 90s about HillaryCare, and the 2000s with e-detailing, etc. Industry will still be here.

There has been 20 pages here on cafepharna warning you about this company. Which one of the 20 pages did you not read or get ?? Pretty much most post were how shady & crappy leadership is.

Leadership here are a bunch of “has beens.” Look them up. They didn’t come her to launch a ground breaking, life saving, new class agent. They came here because they had no place left to go. And we report to them. So what does that say about us?

Tons of positions posted in the last week for this startup - looks like 2 per territory, one specialty and one LTC, however, they only require 2 years experience and prefer it be in Urology. This is telling because almost nobody just jumps straight into a Specialty Urology position and LTC is a beast that also takes a lot of experience, so they may be making a huge risk with hiring low experienced reps. Decent drug for OAB, later BPH and IBS. I'm concerned the only 2 years experience required is a red flag for LOW BASE. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would stay clear of any VANT company. All of those companies fall under the umbrella of Riovant. They have a very flawed business model and have had exceptionally poor performance. Riovant runs Urovant as a separate company and if it doesn't perform, Riovant will close them. The big problem with this company is a complete lack of innovation. One of the Vants tried to get an approval for a drug for Alzheimer's. Problem was that this drug had already been rejected by the FDA when GSK owned it. I believe it was Myovant. The tried to do some voodoo stats on the submission and the drug was rejected AGAIN. No surprise. They kicked everyone from Myovant out of the NYC office. Then they got an OAB drug approved (note, there are thousands of OAB generic drugs). An analysis of the drug compared to a generic showed that the new, branded OAB drug was no better than the generic drug so sales were very bad.
The only person making money from this company is the owner Vivek Rasminany (sp?) and the shareholders are very angry with him
STAY AWAY.

I bailed after the zoom with DM. For the record. Ironically they were telling me what makes this place different is they aren’t big pharma metric oriented. Just do what it takes to launch successfully. Yet now I’m reading that was a big fat lie ! Glad I went with my gut. Hold on it’s gonna get bumpy for you all !!

What else would you expect with the clowns running this circus ?? I believe the parent company is sumitovant ?? Spelling ?? If they are micromanage this way now, just think how bad it will be after a few weeks / months after the launch when the disaster numbers come in.

I’ve been out of pharma for almost 10 years, after a very successful 10 year run prior. I’m so surprised to see how much things have changed with regard to “ghosting”. I’m hearing it’s so common. Not trying to sound like and old timer, but back when I was starting out, you could always count on at least getting a thanks-but-no-thanks note. I was cruising along with Urovant and waiting the final interview, then just silence. I have to reach back to P1 to be told they went with someone else. I completely get that but it only takes 30 seconds to send someone a short note just as a courtesy. I truly wish the company and newly hired reps all kinds of success. I just have questions about a company and it’s managers if this is how they operate. Maybe this is the new norm.
I couldn’t agree more. After a career in pharma that began right out of college I am beginning to develop a scorched earth process. I am SO tired of spending the time researching a company , modifying my résumé, creating a cover letter, doing a virtual interview, and then getting ghosted. To all these companies that tout how much they respect their employees I’m going to send the executives a review of my experience with names and dates. I will also post on glassdoor and other sites. If they post on LinkedIn, I will post my perspective. The hypocrisy is overwhelming and I have no qualms about exposing it.
