Lawsuits!!!! SUE SUE SUE!!!!
If i had to guess, union or no union - a major class action lawsuit will be coming out of this or an individual lawsuit will come out of this and will change things. May take a while but something is going to happen in the northeast division.
What is the latest news?
It is a tricky position for a company to take. Imagine Wal-Mart or any other company while against union still want union customers and union business.Anybody that wants confirmstion that labcorp is the WALMART of the lab business. Do a google search on walmart's new hire training video. They go over the point of not forming a union! Any company that stears their new hires away from a union from the get go, is only hiding their shady practices and wants to brainwash people. Horrible culture right there just like labcorp. The only reason to be anti union in these cases is because the company will lose money, investors on wall street, and won't be able to continue with many of their managed care contracts with the current cost structure in place. This will be a huge blow to labcorp and the northeast division. And they deserve every bit of what's coming. If you weren't so cheap and didn't treat your employees so poorly, this wouldnt be happening. I for one know there are many phlebotomist's with bad attitudes and have no business interacting with patients on a daily basis, but the they became this way either through poor hiring by incompetent managers, poor training, or through poor management and support. 90% of companies problems today are derived from bad management and or communications --- and this place has alot of that.

Yes. Unionized labor will damage Labcorp's already bad service and reputation. So please vote for it.
If the union gets in here it will get into the competition not long after.
Maybe.. But most regional/hospital pabs treat their employees well. Quest phlebotomists seem pretty happy there as well.
Most of time it is more about money than treatment. People vote with their pocketbooks for union level wage.

Bottom line is Bill Haas is a bully and his bullying ways are about to come to an end!
Without Sales you would not have a job! And please don't respond "without plebs....." We would simple find a new set!Well he comes from sales, so, you know.

Same could be said for you. Sales reps are easy to replace as well. Without managed care, sales wouldn't have flyers to wave at doctors that say " see you have to use labcorp". Without couriers driving to pick up the specimens to deliver to the lab, the test wouldn't be run. Without IT we wouldn't be able to deliver results. And on and on and on........ The most important division is managed care, hands down. Without managed care labcorp would not get paid for ANYTHING. That's not to say managed care reps aren't replaceable too but that is where it all starts.
There is a reason that we are highly compensated and you are paid a pitiful hourly wage. You are simpletons with one basic skill that can be learned in less than a week. No one has any respect or concern for you and your cohorts. When we act nicely around you it is because we are manipulating you and you are too ignorant to know any better.
MC Reps are AWESOME! We are highly respected, ask around. We know our business. :=}
