I have experience Quentin's management style and here is my 2 cents. He is very goal driven and drives results quickly. How he does that is by hiring "his" people initially to come and clean house and put process in place. He is hard and extremely critical and likes to put people on the spot who disagree with him and who does not look like him (hint).
The most alarming issue about QR and his style is if you are an African american, even though you might be average he will promote you.Seen many cases. If you are an older white man, you are SOL. There is sort of reverse racism. Management surely knows this but continues to keep him in the organization.
As a leader he will not engage with anyone who works in his department except his "friends" or people he likes. Extremely arrogant and egotistical. Doesn't have good leadership skills. Gets things done thru fear which is not sustainable.
