This is totally true. So many of the reps that have had this gravy train ride where they haven't had to work very hard and have made tons of money have no idea what is about to smack them in the face and I will laugh as I watch it!!
 






Well, may be true. As an ex pharma rep, I know first hand the amount of lazy bums in pharma sales. And many are just so ignorant as reflected on this site. Have you ever seen worse prose? Take some advice reps, you are not the all powerful sales people you think you are. Most of you are entitled lazy bums. Growing balls does not guarantee they will be lifted off the couch. And one thing is for sure, those who are "older" and have families to care for had better do some serious soul searching if you think this pharma gig is going to continue for the long term. Don't get caught with chilly balls hanging out when they decide its time.

Sadly, they are. I wish I had the courage to say goodbye to this worthless job. Lets not kid ourselves, we are not worth what we make. And if you think you are, you are the idiot they are speaking about.

Very well put. It is easy to speak as if you are "higher" than the laid-off Shire reps. Personally, I worked my ass off to find another job the day I was laid off. Just recently, I was blessed with another opportunity. I stay in touch with many Shire reps. There are a lot of great people here that I am fortunate that I met. A couple of posters above mentioned "there are plenty of jobs available". With all do respect...you need to learn about supply and demand. I do not wish harm on anyone, but your day is coming soon. I want to see that cocky attitude when you are in this scenario.

Personally, I did not want to get back in the Pharma industry because it is the "titanic" and it's half way under. However, I quickly found out that other industries do not think very highly of pharmaceutical reps and are almost completely to the point of not looking at anyone with Pharma experience. So...I'm back in the Pharma arena and I will work hard and follow instructions just as I did at Shire.

I don't like the word "Karma" but I have a feeling it is about to bite the not so humble reps in the butt...really soon. Good luck!
