You're nothing but a mediocre researcher who was not good enough to make it into the tight ranks of academia, so you were forced to join the drones in industrial research.....must suck that you always imagined yourself being the great deliverer of spectacular scintific research and you ended up delivering NOTHING.

The lack of new commercially applicable products vaccines from NIBR is empirical proof of your claims above. That statement is clear, precise and to the point I am sure that they will be included in NIBR's epitaph and tombstone noting its demise. And don't worry as you will have something gained from this experience that you can use in your next job. When you are back in Academia where the sentiments you just espoused matter, especially the part about "sell"ing, making about 1/3 of the salary that you are making now, you can go to a humble lunch, in stead of the lavishly subsidized lunches at the NIBR Canteen, with all of the others, like you, who with your superior IQs, fail to understand the real world.

It sounds like you are going to be happier there and unlike here, you will not be bothered with pesky details like profits etc.

Now like you, I will devolve into juvenile name calling - you fucking out-of-touch, non-aware of the fact that you are simply a cost center, over paid, under managed, researcher jerk off.

I don't care how powerful any of the R&D leaders are (and...the Board cares even less). They all live and die by the sword. NIBR management is not insulated from the death penalty that many other R&D management teams have faced when productivity has been poor. NIBR output sucks and they are "dead men walking." It's just a matter of time. Either pull a rabbit out of the hat, or prepare for pain.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, R&D is hard and Sales doesn;t get it. Guess what? Sales doen't have to get itl. You do. You NIBR full-of-shit researchers like to bash Sales, but you are no more protected than they are. If you don't produce, you will get cut. If you don't understand that, you are idiots. I actually think you DO understand that. What you fail to perceive is the required timing. You think you have 25 years, or even 15, and you've spent a dozen already (with no commercially viable contributions). You don't have 25 years. You have almost no time left. Tick tock.......

aren't you the same researcher that tried to use the old "we will there soon" bs above and someone shoved it us your ass by pointing out that no one of any iq tries the old bath tub argument anymore?

Besides that, wouldn't someone who tried to use the "look at what is in the pipeline" argument, that is really just another form of a bath tub argument actually k now something about pipelines before he made the argument? Apparently not as per industry rules of thumb ~ 40% of new drugs in the pipeline never get out of of the remaining 60% ~ 50% of them or 30% total will be delayed on a average of 5 years. So yes, we will get about 30% of that garbage to sell.

But never fear, at least us sales types can get women as all of you research nerds just sit on front of your Apple Laptops and jerk off to the nipple shadows from Princess Leia in old Star Wars flicks. You've had to learn to replace poon-tang with palm-time!

Easy, the odds favor those who divest into more options. But for me, the real question is: you invest a few hundred million into BD possibilities with various firms and a few hit and make you money (there are several eamples). But you invest multi billions into NIBR and nothing comes out. WTF?
