Thunderbeat

Rre: Thunderbeanst

Huh...fascinating diversion between reality and marketing. Used to work in sales reporting at Olympus...certainly not the reality. Regardless of likes or disikes of company or favoritism of surgeons...it's not making the double digit market penetration as quickly as they wanted....

Best of luck...Your friendly highly educated Ex-Olympus number cruncher... :0

well that would be a understatement . It expensive has no GPO yet. Thats why we get paid a higher $ to sell. But it is still the best out there and price will eventually come down.

THANK YOU for confirming to this olympus energy rep that THUNDERBEAT is by far the best energy device on the market . You are correct real surgeons did not like GYRUS , but advanced real surgeons get thunderbeat .
You should be worried about the battery ultrasonic at 380 with free batteries .
Your friendly gyrus rep

Thanks friendly Gyrus rep, you are an ass clown.

The Thunderbeat device is by far the best device I've seen clinically - the only problem is that Olympus have no knowledge of how to engage this type of market, showing the usual reactive, non proactive behaviour, have managers in place that have no clinical idea whatsoever and marketing team that thinks emails with fancy branded headers on them will assist reps to get market share...tis a damn shame!!

+1 Sadly agree. The guys and gals out there trying to penetrate into the market are provided little time or assistance.

I know the sales tools individual in CV was working on some proposal and COA sales tools relative to the Energy placement but that got tabled when Endoscopy's pushed for EC Advantage and Bulk buy analysis tools. It's just one very smart gal, but she has no assistance. How about a combined approach post demo with Inside Sales?

If you guys require more tools and presentation market calculators check with the V Davis' Sales Operations Team in CV. The gal over there works wonders preparing purchasing calculators and comparisons in terms Key Decision Makers in the facilities appreciate. ;)

If you need more assistance with bodies for demos and presentation why not approach Todd & Charlie? I always found Todd to be a very practical guy. He was willing to table most of the CRM input & utilization requests until there was some movement with the TB.

Since I left I have no insight as to how things have been going.

Good luck guys (&gals). You are in a very tough spot with huge #s to meet and very little support from Center Valley.

I just like the way ALL you guys like to bash a product you know nothing about, nor do you sound intelligent trying speak on its behalf. If you guys are such awesome reps and have such a prophetic knowledge of things, then have the balls to put your name on the posts. Thunderbeat is a Better product than ANY of the technology currently available. Ligasure is a close second with outcomes, but Ethicon will always find a way to polish their harmonic terd. Remember kids.......play nice, and if you don't have anything nice to say, DON"T SAY IT!!!

Ligature is a close second with outcomes? What human studies do you have supporting your device? Harmonic is a turd? How many more million cases do they have under their belt compared to yours?

Have the balls to put your name on the posts? So is T-bone your first or last name?

What a d-bag.

What makes it better clinically than any other device out there?

Hi,
Voice from Europe:
We heve launched TBeat in March, this year. Only one selling person in the field. Huge area to penetrate. Many time- consuming procedural problems. After ~150 demo procedures in about 40 hospitals claims of Olympus are confirmed. Device appeared to be faster, more versatile and "handy" than any other energy device, no safety sacrifising. One thing- truly - the handle is to be reshaped, but apart from this - Thunderbeat was judged overall more than 'very good".
On about 120 surgeons encountered only few (4-5) said that they would stay with their LS. No one said, that HS was still better.
I'm Olympus empolyee, so my opinion is, off course, tendentious.
But still evidence-based ;-)
Still not much of sold TB's, but this market needs a time..

Bye,
Marek

May I ask whether you are based in London?
