This defines Labcorp to a Tee

When are all you little babies going to realize it's not Labcorp, it's the industry as a whole! Do you think it's better at Quest, how about working for Bio not knowing what the future is! If it's so bad then go find another job and shut up. Our industry is pathetic. Just wait for the ICD10 shit show! If you hate your job now, just wait.....it's about to get worse. Only the strong will survive. My golf game is going to get so much better. I'm not worried about any of it. I just shut my mouth and work less and less. It's a great deal.

It's not just the industry bro.. It's labcorp as a corporation too. If it is the industry, it clearly shows you either it's a commodity based service and just about any lab can perform the same things or if you are bigger, you can buy your business. Either way, the profit margins are small and it is last on the pecking order for importance to insurers, doctors, and staff. Is it neccessary? Of course. But anybody can draw blood and run 80% of these tests. Labcorp just has more money to acquire and make it affordable for insurers to use labcorp. Lab work makes up 3% of insurers budget. The rest goes to drugs, mri's, hospital, and doctors visits. Bottom line, blood work is insiginificant and a commodity

Exactly. It is no better anywhere else. If you can't heck it or expect to make $250k year after year shut up and get out.

I think people that work for a boutique regional lab or hospital based labs, would disagree with you.. They are more people oriented versus just being a #....

Oh please! I know so many hospital lab employees that hate their jobs! People oriented my ass. That statement is simply not true. The grass is always greener on the other side.

Not true......do you know any reps that work at these labs? I do and again it's not just Labcorp. This industry is 50 shades of yuck. You must turn the other cheek or get out. Stop thinking some little fairy is going to come fly by your business unit and drop magical dust that will fix everything. We have fair paying jobs with a company that ii not going anywhere any time soon. It ain't perfect but it works for a lot of us.

100% accurate. People need to focus on the positive things, stay in your own lane, do your job and go home to your families. If you hate your job then move on. That's the reality.

Many hospital employees like their job at the lab better than labcorp. Not all but most. And as far as 50 shades of yuck, what dows that say anout u working in a bottom feeding industry?

I hear fair, good paying, stable company - blah blah blah etc.. It just displays you are a lazy, scared to make a career change and willing to be viewed as a has been drone lab rep. First of all the the industry sucks, labcorp sucks, and the majority of people suck. Plus, doctors think lab reps are teetering on the edge in the terms of usefulness, equivalent to a used car salesman. If an office wants to use another lab over another they either want money or a quid pro quo or their service sucks so bad with their current lab that they will make the call when they want to use another.. If they even can with insurance conpany's handcuffing them. Get over yourself and get a real job/career

Just because I'm comfortable and happy that makes me lazy?. I guess I should find a high risk job that might pay more. I guess it's better to work 12 hour days and into the weekends. I guess I need more stress in my life. If you think you have to buy a doctors business then you obviously suck as sales rep. It's about timeliness, listening skills, creativity and being liked. In my world about 70% of the patient base can go to Quest LCA and or a hospital. Don't think for a minute that my position doesn't matter. I'm at a point in my life where I simply don't need $250+. Yes I wish the comp plan was more reflective of my true sales. No doubt there are too many service tasks. I have a real job. Because I am happy with my life I can deal with all the BS this job throws at me. Maybe you outta get your life straight and then look at your employer. Remember WORK is a four letter word. It's Friday and I am currently debating on whether I need to work today or go pick apples. I love it. Lazy....I don't think so. Just smart as hell and happy.

Most people that work at Labcorp are happy. My whole team is happy with their job. Do we get irritated sometimes, yes! But no job is ever perfect. We work hard, get paid a fair wage and are happy to be with a company that has good benefits. You other babies on here either don't work for Labcorp or are on your way out because you have a miserable attitude.

If the majority of people suck YOU must be at the top of the list! You must have gotten fired from either Quest or Labcorp. What do you do for a living or what industry is it in that is soooo great? We're all waiting to hear??

Yes "my" team is on the west coast and they do like me. If they didn't I wouldn't have been able to take a rep from IO over to "my" team. She would have stayed where she was. You must be a little rep who is making up a spreadsheet as we speak.

Sounds like someone who was once an IO rep themselves and pissed off the one who made them a manager? We know who you are. BTW. none of your fellow managers respect you and upper management is realizing how you just lost a $2 million/year account. Nice job.
