Things I was NOT told during my interview - BEWARE:

This back and forth between the leadership team and the field needs to stop. Zoll needs to heal and appreciate all the wonderful things we have going for us. Our turnaround has begun and you can sense the momentum. We are on the verge of catapulting to greatness but this negativity is holding us back. Please, for all our sakes let's come together as one. God bless you and God bless Zoll.

131 threads, 10 years of being shit on. You wait around! Stay positive! I'm positive they are going to shit on reps another 10 years if insurance allows them to.

You mean 11% of the MOs are approved by the insurance companies correct? You mean 11% of managers can identify a PVC on a rhythm strip correct? You mean 11% of tech support previously worked at Walmart correct? You mean 11% of Account managers can locate their desk at work correct? You mean 11% of people in our training classes are over age 13 correct? You mean 11% of our customers wear the vest without losing their hearing from false alarms correct? And I'm absolutely positive that you mean 11% of our sales force lasts more than one year. Peace out

Listen up people! This may sound sarcastic but this person is spot on!!

Please allow us to replace you with young firebrand reps who hunt, fish, lift and f-ck! I'm talking real men, who aren't scared to threaten a physician or ask for business. Forfeit your jobs and/or potentially your wives and know that the men that replace you are taking the company, cardiac industry and your wife to the next level. This is Darwinism in its most base form. Primal instincts are what guides these modern day gladiator pimp war heroes. This job is no longer in the same tax bracket as we are producing one percenters so fast your head will spin. Please comply

This weirdo clearly doesn't work here. The people they are now hiring are the worst, least competent, and shortest tenure employees ever in the history of the LifeVest. They (a) have been in a hole and are among the few that haven't heard of Zoll, (b) were too stupid to research the LifeVest division and see all the obvious reasons not to take the job, (c) didn't call ex-Zoll employees on LinkedIn (or did and didn't listen to them), and (d) exhibit such a weak spirit that the Zoll managers know they can tell them what to do and they'll be too dumb to stick up for what they know is right for their patients and customers.

The funniest part is that these people are leaving within weeks or a few months of hire. They are bombarded with the problems they failed to uncover during the interview process. They are overwhelmed by being on call 24/365 and only getting the runaround from ACs/Intake/Management. They are shocked that all the money they were promised isn't rolling in.

It truly is a perfect storm here people. Bad management + bad hires = higher turnover. I have never seen a management team so lacking in basic business acumen.

I had enough business acumen to get the job I have and not be stuck in your dead end sales role. No more Mr Nice Guy... Show me the respect I command or I will show you the door. I have put many people on skid row and I will do it so fast your head will spin.

I've noticed the same thing in my area. Its just become a revolving door. I am shocked at how inexperienced these new candidates are. All management is looking for is a pulse at this point.

These inexperienced new candidates are fueling Zoll's growth. The new breed firebrands are redefining the way we sell. While an earlier poster may have been a tad coarse in his language, the attitude this ambitious carnivore displays is the reason things have turned around. He doesn't ask they takes. We had hired all the wrong people and now we have the prototype. The sky is the limit!

I was recently hired into Zoll and would appreciate the opportunity to learn the ways of the new breed firebrands. My manager has identified me as having the potential to reach these heights. While playing college athletics I didn't hunt or fish but I certainly did F__k a great deal but more importantly I won. I look forward to meeting and collaborating with you in the not to distant future. Godspeed sir!

The talent is becoming bountiful. Studs everywhere, it's like partying with Ricky Martin on Star Island. I can barely focus and it's not going to be easy for the Docs to say no. #Stud Nation

If the above is true then these firebrand reps of the new breed are prostituting themselves to increase sales. That is not a new tactic but male on male is very, very, very taboo. Here's to hoping these firebrands are using protection. Zoll doesn't need a sick workforce.

This is why the firebrand model works. They take calculated risks in business and with their sexuality. This is true commitment! They can't be stopped and won't accept defeat. If the whiners on this thread want to succeed follow their approach.

On behalf of Zoll leadership, I want to acknowledge that our hiring practices have changed. We are truly excited that we are experiencing unprecedented growth with our new firebrand prototype. Nevertheless, we do not encourage, advocate or acknowledge sexual quid pro quo's, hetro or otherwise. We appreciate the enthusiasm our firebrands exhibit but there are boundaries.

Who is speaking on behalf of Zoll leadership?

131 threads over 10 years. Putting shit in a new box and trying to sell it. Good luck.

No joke. I can't count the number of sales people I've talked to who have heard about Zoll and thought they'd interview, but then dropped out when they started researching the company. Nobody is buying the "zoll is great" crap anymore. This company's reputation is toast at this point. And all the posts from "management" just prove the point - they only know how to say the word "firebrand" over and over. I can't decide whether its sad or funny that they only know how to say one thing. Kind of like the cookie cutter growth rate that is applied to every territory, regardless of its maturity, size, payor mix, etc. I used to think maybe they just didn't understand the field. Now I know they just don't know how to do anything else. Pitiful.

You are obviously someone who has been swept out of Zoll by the rising tide of the Firebrand. I will agree that many in the device world can't cut it at this dynamic organization. Excellence, accountability and success are the attributes the Firebrand's possess. It has taken us time and effort to weed out the farmers and bring in these Darwinian hunters but it has now come to fruition. The results reflect it. Good luck to you in your agrarian endeavors.
