dear rep. let me help you understand, rep level positions are "Exempt" that means you are not on an hourly wage and not eligible for overtime pay. you may have to work nights, weekends, holidays at the same poverty level salary that you are entitled to earn. so. since have chosen to work at this pos company you are going to have to eat shit and deal with whatever comes your way. any questions?

We all eat way too much shit at this company but it would be nice if managers respected the time off of their reps a little more.

I bet the manager being written about is the one who is never in his office on office days and then sends a crazy high amount of emails at night and on the weekends with short turnaround times.

Funny! If you complain following the policy, you will be targeted and GP and MP will have you fired. EEOC is already clued into Vanda. They just need more before they come after the worst run pharma company since insys and the most corrupt CEO since Madoff.....
 






When the CEO is founder, he thinks he is above the law and can hire his kids for huge salaries and even more stock. He thinks that he is above the FDA and they should worship him. He does not understand that he is not god.FBI, FDA, EEOC...... WHICH ONE WILL BRING HIM DOWN FIRST?? He is a felon.
 






Why does it bother you if emails are sent after hours and on weekends? I turn off my phone and computer and don’t look at it until Monday morning. They don’t have to rule your life if you don’t let them, now if they expect you to respond then say I turn my computer off on weekends and after 5 pm on week nights. That is what I say. They need to respect people have lives and families. If they don’t report them.

They don't give a rat's ass if they harass the crap out of you on your time off and those that did report how their managers would bother the hell out of them on vacation days and sick days and while on disability were coincidentally "laid off."

I know one northeast prick stays in the car well after 5PM writing his mf coaching report and will call a rep's personal cell phone if he is unable to get the rep on the company phone after hours and/or on weekends.

You know a great deal and are there any suggestions on what should be reported to them? Every laid off rep over 40 should report the company to the EEOC for age discrimination.

That is so sad. I just wonder why Vanda have not gotten in trouble so far. They must have some protection - some security mechanism that is helping them get by with total disrespect for the US Labor Laws. I don't know how long they can survive like this. Report them?? To who? HR has no power. If they try to help a rep, Poly will crush them. Going to compliance for any reason at all will get you purged. If you aren't getting harassed after hours, you are lucky. My manager is hounded by regional and Tom for last minute evening spreadsheets for GP and Poly. Text asking about key customers and intakes while on vacation.... It never ends.

Rule by fear and intimidation. No free thinking permitted at Vanda. That sums it up.... Veer from this and you are replaced with someone else.

VP of Sales and District Managers are in place to relay the orders from the prophet Mihales and his sidekick GP. They are to get results from reps in any manner possible. Harassment and bullying is expected to push for ALL possible business regardless of on label or not. Anyone in management that challenges or questions the direction from the prophet is fired.

Former HQ employee here. Any disagreement with management meant you would be pushed out. The management would make your time there unbearable to the point that you would likely quit. If you did not quit quickly enough, it was made painfully obvious that you would not climb the ladder, so you would quit once that became clear. They don’t want your expertise, they want drones following orders.
