Tenured reps

No one leaves, is downsized, laid off (or whatever you want to call it when they take out the garbage) from CRM if they are good. Too much money at stake Sally

That's complete bull. Your showing your lack of knowledge of the medical industry. It wasn't long ago that Sj shuffled several of thier top performers out the door in order to cut costs. And let me enlighten you on another fun fact CRM isn't the Holly Grail. This industry is no more than contracts and pricing. Throw in some relationships from some old timers and that's about it. The poster you mock has a terrific resume has made his cash and thought he could land here and use his contacts to secure business until he retired. Good for him! You on the other hand are screwed. Your coming up in a industry that doesn't pay anymore and if you find a start up that does it won't last long. I feel for you idiots that think there is a great opportunity over the horizon. Get ready for a 4 page resume because you'll be looking for a while. Unfortunately Zoll is on the bottom of an industry that is going south quickly. So assume and criticize the poster all you want. Unfortunately for you he has the last laugh.

CRM is KING and you sir are a LOSER!

at this year's Annual Sales meeting 30 territory managers were recognized for exceeding quota the last three years and 5 for the last five years.

Stop lying! typically any rep that has lasted more than 2 years has done this because the quota when they started in their territory was at $0, or very near zero. So as quota climbed it was attainable. If your quota when you started is between $0-10K those are the reps that are here a bit over 2 years. Once they go over year 3 they will leave ike very one else.

5 out of 400. Impressive.

Not very many reps that have been there more than 2 years. This statistic doesn't change year after year after year. I have worked with some of the reps that have been here a bit on the longer side and have seen and heard them tell a physicians that the LV won't be approved unless the EF is under 35 and then ask if the report needs to be amended to reflect a more accurate EF. I guess this is how they keep their jobs and meet their quota. Its illegal.

Dont forget Drew D and Tim C Both been around along time. Both seem to be good guys too.

5 out of 400 are tenured. Holy cow!!! Goes back to the Taco Bell post. More tenure and less job postings at Taco Bell. This company some how still hires on good sales people but management and everyone at the corporate office is useless. They would have more success if the company was only TM's, they do everything anyway.

Where are the lucky one's that find new jobs going? I'm one of those tenured reps and not making money this year. I can't work every weekend and not make money. I also can't seem to find any other jobs out there. It pisses me off because if I leave, they will cut the quota in half and some new rep will come in and make a bunch of money. Why can't they just figure out how to keep us? Comp plans shouldn't be that difficult to do.

How much will you make this year? Over $200?

SO TRUE. Yes, they will cut the quota for a new person, but not for the tenured person who has proved their abilities over the years. THEY DON'T CARE. They don't care if we stay or go. They don't care if they maintain a revolving door. They don't care if 2x2 hurts our sales. They don't care if their poor treatment of our PSRs makes them leave and leaves us constantly training new ones. They don't care if they undermine every effort we make. THEY DON'T CARE and honestly, I don't think they know any better anyway. Been here almost 5 years and it has been the hardest lesson I've had to learn. Wish I had left a year ago when I had an opportunity.

They don't even care if patients wear the LV or not, so what can you expect?

Well sunshine, there was a very good representative there before you who worked their butt off to make money and the quota spun out of control and they left or were let go for poor performance, so the quota was lowered for YOU coming in! Yes, it does stink tat it's a revolving door and yes you made money the first year like EVERYBODY else that came here and left. You too will finally find something down the road if you're not let go first and yes the quota will be lowered for the new person. That's the way it rolls here!

You ask why the tenured reps are still around. They had much larger territories and have consistently been cut annually over the last 5 years. Most of those TMs have significantly smaller markets now and are failing to hit their number. They treat the TMs unfairly when hiring a SSR, especially if the territory is at Tier 3 level. Between the 40% growth rate and the cost of an SSR, they will quickly fall short of goal. It is a real shame that corporate continues to not appreciate our efforts. I guess it's true that a circus animal can really sell the LV.

Proven is the correct word.
