Suit vs PCRX

There is post on LinkedIn today from Pacira, stating that they "foster a culture geared around advancing women in the workplace." I almost fell off my chair when I read this. How could anyone post that and keep a straight face (or look themselves in the mirror ?)...

WOW! If you are a minority, or a woman, or over 50; you are going no where at
Pacira. No African-American managers. I cannot think of more than 2 AAs in field sales. Any minorities in Medical Affair? Mayb one in HOVA. Absolutely the least diverse company I have ever worked for.

Correction, TS, VP of Sales, is an African-American. Oh wait, he’s the former VP of Sales. Seams, DM, PM, and GR went directly to CEO, a complete ambush. The ultimate back-stabbers. DM became CCO. PM became VP of Sales. And, PixarBio traitor GR became an AD.

NC, MSL, is African-American. Hold on a second, she left due to lack of confidence in MA leadership.

The absence of diversity should be a glaring indication of the intolerance at the highest levels. The VP of HR is probably the worst. Countless stories of his lack of sensitivity and inappropriate comments.

"VP of HR is probably the worst"... not just inappropriate comments but actions and decisions that are racist, ageist, and/or misogynistic. He reports directly to highest female in the corporation, who gives lip service to supporting women with showy programs, but in reality holds them back.

KW is that highest female, getting paid too much to make waves.

Think about all the garbage she actually knows or has personally witnessed and the information she has deliberately chosen not to share with the board (not to mention the investment community). At what point are you complicit if you knowingly withhold? Well she’s a lawyer so she probably is monitoring and protecting herself from that on an hourly basis. What a disappointment to see someone reduce themselves to take on the role of the chief corporate prop. Its very depressing to see this so up close and obvious, you can only feel sorry for her. A missed opportunity for someone in a serious position of power- in an actual position to do something about it and maybe inspire some hope, and to be hero for a change and to wear that cape and be a voice for the voiceless. To not answer that call is such a sad reality and just a mystery. What message does that send to those who genuinely never want to sell out?

How will history judge her with all the illegal, unethical and corrupt activity that was tolerated and thus encouraged on her watch? Wall Street will most certainly applaud, Main Streeters will have to just pound sand as they always do. Begs the question, is she an actual leader- or just a mere lever that gets pulled every now and then? She has a killer salary and too many stock options waiting to vest I suppose, why go ahead and kill the golden goose? And maybe at this point she is being shielded from all kinds of things from the Chief corruptors who think it’s better to not bring her in the loop on certain nefarious activity, so now she takes on a new role as the Chief useful idiot.

Considering her contacts and personal relationships, she likely has very significant employment offers and/or seats on other BOD’s lying in wait when she does ultimately decide to bolt or cash out— so why muck that up? This is how greed corrupts good people I suppose. If you can’t beat ‘em, turn a blind eye and actively cover for them to advance your career. I guess that’s just how the big boys play ball. Such a shame, she could get a meeting with 60 minutes... in probably 60 minutes.

Does she still have a window left, to right the wrongs she has helped cultivate and perpetuate all these years? Not sure if that soul redemption thing is all that it is cracked up to be. Those seats in 1st class are just too comfy.

Will be a miracle if the admin at Cafepharma allow this post to remain.

Wonder if she and JS are still "friends"? We all knew what was going on.

A clearly well-written, grammatically correct, well thought out post. Refreshing!

KW is that highest female, getting paid too much to make waves.
ive had lunch a couple times with KW in La Jolla. Nothing to write home about. She did not appear to be in touch with field sales, but she doesn’t really have to be. I wish I could say she was brilliant, or witty, or shared deep dark secrets about Pacira. She was neither brilliant or witty. Nor did she shed any light on the inner sanctum.
As for Jim S., well it must have been a match made in heaven. Or Parsippany. Or La Jolla. Ask Jackson Browne......

Why would anyone want to leave the cushiest job on the planet? No field rides, occasional conference calls, RDs who are clueless, moderate organic sales growth, great benefits, no pressure, and free scrubs (though I never go into surgery).

Abell vs. Pacira

37 8 pgs order Order on Motion to Dismiss Wed 3:37 PM
ORDER Granting in part and Denying in part26 MOTION to Dismiss by All Defendants. Defendant motion to dismiss is Denied on all counts as against Pacira, but is Granted as to Count 1 against Stack, Mclaughlin, Ciavolella, Davis and Lehmann, and further Granted as to Count 2 against all individual Defendants, and further Granted as to Count 3 against Stack. McLaughlin, Ciavolella, Davis and Lehmann, and further Granted as to Count 4 against Stack, Davis and Lehmann. Signed by Judge Madeline Cox Arleo on 7/31/2019. (JB, )

RA used shotgun approach. File against as many people as she could and let the judge figure it out. It appears Pacira made a motion to dismiss all charges and this was denied. That indicates there is merit in aspects of the suit. It also appears the judge has narrowed down certain charges to certain defendants. Looks like Stack, McLoughlin, Paul C., Joyce, and Lehman are primary targets. One remaining charge includes all defendents; including Murphy and Reiser.

Wonder what Max thinks about all this?

During my time with Pacira I've seen a lot. The culture is awful. Nepotism, favoritism, sexism, racism, ageism, misogyny.
Let's look at a few examples:
* VP of MA fired after trying to borrow money from our KOLs
*Medical Director fired after mishandling of nerve block study
*RD fired for 2nd assault & Battery
*AD promoting an under-performing AM to RD and hiding hiding his 1st A&B from HR
*Moved Central AD to an innocuous made-up role due to ineptness
*Paid a CCO a ton of money to do absolutely nothing for three years, same guy interviewed for W AD job and lost out to a guy who bottom tier RD.
*Enebriated RD urinated in front KOL outside a p-value dinner
*West AD fired because he knew what he was doing
*East AD fired because she approved expenses submitted by an RD who has a substance issue
*Re-hired a failed IDN manager who had left to work at a competitor, lied about his Pacira credentials, and trashed Pacira is a series of press releases. He's now an AD.
*Promoted an under-achieving RD to AD and all he does is show up at tradeshows with MG.
*CEO openly shared ith KOLs clinical findings of yet to published studies
*Hired a MD who had lost his licence for inappropriate behavior with patients under sedation
*Allowed JD to keep JH exclusively for her anesthesia team. Pacira paid him a lot of money.
*DSP & TM openly stated MA was respondible for early sales growth
*Remedy is still owned by CCO, always has been a conflict of interest
*VP of HR is known as Mr. Inappropriate

Thats enough. Tired of writing, too much more. Wish CF mods would just edit out whatever they see as inappropriate and leave the rest.

There should be a lawsuit against Pacira per our promotions policy! Promoting friends and family vs. experience and ethical standards. It's unfortunate that the whistle blowers that call foul on the upper management per unethical behavior or report violations of the pharmaceutical/company code receive the guillotine. So tired of amateur hour around here- Going on 4.5 years and can't get a promotion, oh I forgot, I have too much experience, we only promote the inexperienced with no numbers or success! The west AD is such a phony/pretender and the East AD, wait, is there an East AD?!!!

Know kidding, the AD's are a joke! Just got back from my POA and if I hear that empty echo chamber AD from the West talk about "I use to work at Stryker and you know how hard core Stryker is and I made a lot of money there - here is an idea, go back and work for them, oh that's right you were fired from that company!!!!!!!!!! You can tell the guy should have spent more time in the class room and less time on the basketball court as the bench warmer.

When is the company going to invest in strong management, not this monkey business of "no experience, not necessary, we will train you as we go.....Perhaps this is why the stock and growth is so weak..............

WOW!!!!

How about VS being promoted with no experience, was ranked last for 2 years and had terrible numbers as an ABD, had a HR rap sheet not to mention all of the other issues with alcohol and chasing skirt.

DM is a total idiot, he should write a book on everything not to do in business- experience in failure and blaming others

PM, how did this guy get to be VP, oh, that's right he had all of the capable people fired or made things up so he could look good.

GR, this loser is perhaps the most untalented person I have ever met and that may be insulting to the untalented people. The fact that DM and PM brought this traitor back from Pixar Bio, is a testament of poor judgement by "leadership"- Pacira philosophy: Fire the competent, prompt the fools!

The HR guy is a joke, did they go back to the 1950's to get this male chauvinist, amazing how these VP people show there faces every year at the National Sales Meetings without contributing throughout the year.....

2 ppg year one.
1 ppg year two.
0 ppg year three. 0 min/game.
No year four.
At least Darn Tooten is consistent. Pacira numbers mirror his hoops performance.
