Shot fired across the IS bow on Friday

Prepare yourself for another big layoff if mandate is taken out of OCare. Smaller layoff if mandate is upheld due to looming Viagra and Celbrex generics.
June is a big month for decisions.

What do Viagra and Celebrex generics have to do with IS? NOTHING. So you know SQUAT. Get the F out of this thread.

You got it wrong. June is when they go to The Hamptons, Maine and Islands off The Carolinas. Too hot in Florida in June.

No state taxes in Florida, plus homestead protection. They have houses there.

Read's Florida vacation home is less than three miles from the residences of Steere and two other directors in Bonita Springs, where they sometimes played golf with the former Pfizer CEO. Fortune, "Inside Pfizer's Palace Coup" 7/28/2011

I spend 8 hours a day in the field making calls on docs in the hospitals. I can't even get to half of the docs that want to hear about Tyga and Zyvox. We are a very important part of the healthcare community and without us, physicians and ultimately patients wouldn't get the care they need. We are outstanding educators everyday.......all day.

todays events prove that IS will and should be eliminated this year.

And what would those events be?? Prevnar 13 teleconference or KA's memo regarding
Zyvox lackluster sales?? Kristen here is the bottom line: A worried, distracted sales force is an unproductive sales force. Give us guidance on our jobs and things will turn-around. We don't need gimmicks just some communication!!!

Kudos. No one is going to bust their azz skating towards the inevitable in the next two years. Ride the wave.

What's the story of the week coming out of Collegeville?

Tyga was pronounced DOA,Zyvox continues to sink, and Prevnar 13 is still sitting on the runway. Meanwhile bonus checks are on the way, with the total payout for the whole division, I've been told is about one day of pay for Ian, or about 225k. Sad times indeed.

100 bucks says this division is toast by the end of the year. It's not real hard to figure out. Unless of course ACIP saves Prevnar 13 (that gives us a little more time but not much) or we buy a product to sale. Otherwise we are sinking fast. The real question to me is weather or not Pfizer is committed to even having a hospital sales force given all of the challenges.

If they do away with Hospital Sales Reps, they would lose, big time. Especially important to have sales people present in teaching hospitals who have the ability to sell large portfolios.

The other alternative is to have the field sales team, implement hospitals into their calls but this has proven over and over by trial and error, to be non-effective.

Have you tried even walking into a large teaching hospital? It's laughable that we still have a sales force in these places who have no use for industry.
