Is this contract still going? If so, any insight?
This contract is unlike anything I have ever encountered in my life. The original contracts said that company cars were in it. It took almost a year fro them to have a conference call and day that company cars would not be part of the contract. Neither (quintiles or Sanofi) party will take blame for where the mistake happened. During the last reorganization (November 2014), they retitled themselves from District manager and regional managers to "Area Business Leaders & Regional Business leaders," shouldn't it be those who follow you that decide if you are a "leader" or not? I assure you, no one in this company leads from the front. My very own Regional business director here in Florida has said a number of times that he is not a people person. I do no understand how someone who is NOT a people person comes into a leadership position of sales people. The direction changes monthly and they use negative reinforcement to motivate people. motivate. . . I use that term loosely.
I have seen these same "leaders" believe in making people feel bad if they are not at quota versus finding ways to motivate them to exceed. literally. i joke not.
Lets talk specialty positions. . . Management looks at these positions as a "mini manager" job. They have the specialty reps working on spreadsheets and doing mindless work in their offices versus having them sell. Seems cushy, right? until your reach and frequency do not meet expectations.
Lets talk product. . . Affrezza. The inhaleable insulin. . great product. Horrible marketing. Sanofi has ruined the drug and will most likely need to do a relaunch if they choose to make the investment. If 50 new perscriptions nationally come in a month, that would be a lot. As for Toujeo. . . It has no significant differences to lantus and still not being marketed properly.
If you are looking to really push the product and and you can convince an HCP to use it, there will be no leave behinds for the office other than samples. No dosing cards. . . Marketing is out of them by the first day of every month and they do not think it is important to restock and give the sales people the necessities to drive business. THERE IS A MAJOR DISCONNECT BETWEEN MARKETING & SALES.
If you are in need of job then, by all means, take the job. But DO NOT stop your search. THis company would rather rehire and spend the money on training then to treat their employees properly and invest on keeping them on board.
despite the management sanofi has been successful. But like all things in the universe, it will catch up with them. use them for the cash today, but do not plan on a future tomorrow.
This contract is still going on and is, without a doubt, the worst contract I have ever been on. I would not take this job unless you were desperate, and then only until you find another. Run.

Any updates?
Have a lot of the reps been rolled into sanofi? Also company cars yet or range in salary?
Any updates?
Curious....one half of our district has two openings, the other side has 3 PC reps in place. The plan was to role me to the other territory but the freeze happened the same week, so I was told we need to wait. Should I hang onto the hope to be rolled in once the freeze lifts or will the CV people adding to the mix eliminate that possibility? I just feel it's a race against the clock.....I know I would be the candidate they roll over but feel the contract may get cut first before the freeze lifts? Any insight?
