Sales Force...

Are they still hiring for this contract? I talked to a recruiter back in August about a position in Alabama. She told me a week later that the manager had decided to go with other candidates. I just checked the inventiv website and they are ALL still posted. What's the deal?

Also are the DM's actually DM's that report to a Regional? Or, do they call DM's Regionals at Iroko like they do at Shire and Teva?

Any word on launch date? Training dates?

Iroko will only pay $60K and any person who interviews who has made more than that in base previously will not be considered. According to their corporate strategy, those people that made more than $60K if hired, would be considered a flight risk. Far be it, in this economy, to extend an offer to a seasoned rep and let him or her determine if they can support their lifestyle on $60 K. Their logic is warped. BTW, the drug has no studies to back up the claims it has a better side effect profile due to dosing. It only can be inferred. The FDA and the MD's will love that.

The fundamental truth here is each case is different. Each DM/ERM and Rep will have a different situation which exists in their world (geographically, experiencially and professionally) Then at the "end of the day" (I really hate that term).. each person will have to evaluate the offer extended to them in their own situation. Maybe I'm married to a fella who brings in 200K a year - my salary is not so crucial. Or, maybe I'm a single mom and my salary is critical! Each situation is different - too many people don't know how to make their needs known and then make a yeah or nay decision based on what's extended to them. This is why so many reps talk about salary on CP..instead of with the decision makers.

I don't know any reps with at least a few years experience that are making under 60k. Why send these candidates to interview if every DM asked what their previous salary was? They may need to average the district at 60k but doesn't mean no one gets over. Flight risk isn't as big of a problem anymore. Longevity is valued more nowadays. Sad but true.

Well yeah --- Duh! Iroko's success is contingent upon pecker heads like you building relationships and selling product with your ape-like cognitive functions. "Lordy-we in trouble Murtha...get da shotgun! Lez see iffin's we can't shoot da stupid outta dem!"

Pecker heads?? You wish you had this opportunity loser

Was offered the job but im skeptical about the drug and their ability to get any sort of market share when almost all competition will be generic soon. Seems like an extremely niche market and the only data they really have says in patients who just recieved major surgery , zorvolex did better than placebo. Wow who woulda thought... And one more study says it sometimes made people need opiates a few days later.. Seems pretty weak selling point when im sure they will have hardly any managed care coverage to start... Still considering the offer tho as it might not be all bad

How much salary and vacation did they offer?

Serious response here:

Verbal offer, 65k, 2 weeks vac, 5 floating holidays, 7 company holidays, fleet- probably a fusion or impala, gas card, 401k-50% match up to 6%, health, vision and dental. Hire date nov 18, 10 days training in Orlando. Not sure if closed week of Christmas, but heard rumors they are. Hope this helps!
