Sage Therapeutics

I respectfully disagree. It’s not disorganized; it’s just not moving at a pace you all would prefer.

All of this was posted back in June, but here you go -

If you’re selected to move beyond the initial recruiter phone screen, then there will be a phone conversation with the hiring manager. Ace that and some point toward late July/early August, there will be a f2f with hiring manager. August 13th and August 20th are hiring events, I suspect one East and one West. At the end of August or beginning of September offers will go out. Training end of Sept/beginning of Oct. “Soft launch” November into December with PDUFA set for Dec 19th. Jobs are posted until there’s an ass in the chair.

Yes, it is disorganized. Also, based on what I can see on LinkedIn, hiring managers seem to have limited experience with injectibles and hospital sales. How will they coach their reps?

It’s gone smoothly for me. I also read they’ve had thousands of applicants. I suspect they will get to pick the best and no doubt there will be disappointment, and plenty of whining.

Thank you for providing the timelines, this may be helpful to the professionals still waiting to be contacted. However, because of the way recruiting has been handled thus far, it is possible that Sage is losing qualified candidates as a result.

Thanks.
Any idea where the Hiring events will be held?

They are hiring KAMs first. Had initial phone interview with hiring DM this week but the process is definitely slower than normal. They are doing it the right way and not rushing because PDUFA date isn’t until December. They’ve had a ton of candidates.

I was told the same thing for a rep job.
Base max is $130.
Comp $40k for bonus although there isn't a structure on how that is decided (too soon to tell)
Company car
Small territories calling on CNS and OBGyns.
ESPP
401k plan

They haven't decided if it will be handled by a Distribution hub, Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Center or physician administration.
If moved forward, phone screen with manager.
F2F in Mid - August interviews.
Oct. 1 start date
PDUFA Dec. 18, 2018

Seems like the "First in Class" product is the PR from the company. It appears they want CNS rep but don't want to pay.
The skill set need for this product is being downplayed for cheap labor. IMHO.

Distribution Hub (UGH) is building built out.
Everything is accurate (especially the low pay).
$20k drug.

UGH is right. Stay away we don’t want you here and you won’t make it past the phone screen with an attitude like that. We will not leave the light on for you. This ain’t Moetel 6

I had phone interview with TSP and the hiring manager. There will be 2 F2F interviewing events - Week of 8/13 and 8/20 - locations to be determined. Offers to be made by 9/10 w start date of 10/1. I don't mean this is any type of condescending way - just want to provide information - but if you have not been part of interview process for brand new sales force, it tends to be chaotic as there are many moving parts. I was impressed with everything I have researched and learned in my interviews. I think this is going to be a great company to work for. Making smart decisions to get everything set up for a successful launch. At this point I have no idea if I will be moving forward, but I hope that I get the opportunity.

If you do your homework and research the company you will be able to make an informed decision and will actually run to the recruiter rather than the hills Check out the pipeline etc and you will see what a great opportunity Sage is

I would steer clear unless you are unemployed. Very long infusion time and no clue yet where it will be administered. If not at home it will fail dismally.... and what new Mom has that kind of time to he hooked to a pump that long . I can’t see this indication being a successful one ... sorry

So you got an interview with Chris (self absorbed dick) who posts stuff on Linkedin about leadership and making it about others but just cares about himself...is that who you spoke too? The guy is a complete fake but manages up well just not down. His division will be last at launch because he is clueless.

LOL CLEARLY YOU ARE CLUELESS or male not really understanding,,,. IF youre a mom with severe PPD youd give anything to be feeling normal and give the best care. Not all women are dealt the same hand! if youre passionate enough, youll help find a way to make it happen for her. typical pharma,,,,hope youre not hired!

Thank you for the information. This is not the worst recruiters that I have worked with but very close. If you are not going to forward someone on to the next step don’t say you will. If you do get moved on, the glorified DM should let you know if they are not going to call you. Best of luck to all that are in this race. The product seems like a great one that will help a lot of moms. Sage should come out with something for the dads. Have a great day all.
