I was told that we would hear directly from manager by end of this week. Either with an offer or rejection. But would be delivered by manager

Everyone has def been hearing different things. I was told by end of this week & maybe into next week. Ugh. Would have liked some consistency. Everyone’s on pins & needles it seems.

Plus someone said earlier in this thread there were others to still interview the first week of October! I feel we should have been informed.

To all of those who attended the hiring event, but were not selected, you all should feel confident that you brought a lot of accolades and great qualities to this endevour. To have been selected in the final two of this process out of the hundreds who applied and did not advance or even get an interview, says a lot about how you presented yourselves. I am pretty sure I’m not getting an offer by the way the manager reacted when I attempted to close him. I am holding my head up and appreciating the opportunity to present myself. It’s a great company and I wish all of those who are going to be a part of this the best in the launch!

Stock is dropping like a rock this week.

I feel the other RD not the hiring Mgr acting strange when I closed them. Made me feel like, really? I don’t know which is worse: Not getting the interview time at the hiring event or killing myself for several days to put a true business plan together, going to the event only being given about 10 minutes to go over and discuss my plan...which was in bits and pieces b/c they left no time, and then not getting the offer out of two people there.

I totally empathize with you on this! I feel like they had already decided on the candidate who would get the offer, and I was just a box that had to be checked. That’s fine if they chose someone they knew from a previous company—I get that, but don’t waste my time and use me for my information I presented in my case study. He was more focused on that as opppsed to interviewing me—asked a ton of questions about the account and key contacts, etc.

Mine hardly spent any time on the case study and ate up all my time going over scenarios & the essay type questions from the pre work. Didn’t ask much about the account, although I had lots of info on the written document I left behind and also key contacts etc.

If I don’t hear anything by tomorrow, I will assume I’m out. That’s at a week! You would think they would have had decisions by last Friday really!

I agree with you. I was told that I'd hear something by the middle of this week. They had interviews in Chicago thru last Thursday. If their deciding between 2 candidates then it shouldn't take this long. I'm assuming they gave that timeline so they could make an offer, give the person some time to decide, and go to the second choice if need be. None of my references have been contacted so I take that as a pretty good sign I'm out. I'm not losing sleep over it but I would like to know. I absolutely hate having to take a vacation day to travel and prepare for the final interviews knowing I'm one of two remaining people. I know that is how it's done but still sucks. My only hope is that I haven't heard much, if anything, from anyone on here that actually received an offer.

I agree that the interview itself was strange. Not enough time to represent yourself or your business plan. They spent way too much time on scenarios. And companies usually want to have 2 candidates, a lead one and a back-up. Since many verbal offers went out on Monday night, if you haven't heard, you are the back-up candidate.

I am not disagreeing with you, but how do you know that many offers went out on Monday night?

Yes, I’m in the same boat. I was told offers would go out early next week (this week). I’ve heard nothing. Has anyone on here actually gotten an offer or know anyone who has?
