Royal Canin Questions

No. It's not that bad. It's actually kind of easy. Not the highest pay, but great quality of life.

Are you kidding? You must be new or have a female RM...or you don't give a shit that your success in this job requires you to kiss ass and bow down to incompetent, useless idiot managers who took the job because they were desperate and if they didn't accept, then they would be let go.
Take a look around you...this job is pathetic at best.

fagstock...too funny. If you think the rx force is low rent, you should see the retail sales team and their leadership team. Every one from top to bottom. We will be at national meeting this week and the management will look out into the audience and tell them they are the premier sales organization in the country. When I stand a that same podium and look into the crowd, I am embarassed at what I see.

Then why do you stay?

I'm glad that you find this environment allows you a "great quality of life". It shows me how low your standards are compared to the majority.

This place makes me sick these days. 90% of my training class has moved on or been fired, and we started less than 3 years ago!

When's the last time you actually worked 40 hrs? It's been a long time for me. Like I said, great quality of life.

I quit working 40 hours per week a long time ago, because I worked my hump off and was criticized and micromanaged over every little thing. Nothing was good enough, even when I made bonus and exceeded their goals. Now I just don't care, but it hardly constitutes a "high quality of life". Oh, and everyone on our team is still treated like garbage, whether you work hard or not. GREAT management model.

Same exact experience for me this year...unbelievable.....oh, well, I am taking a long vacation this year...till december 31st!

Seriously, this was the poorest company I ever worked for. The money was bad, the people were sub-par, and management is scummy. I left after 3 months. I am so embarrassed to have this on my résumé.

how about a key account manager position? I saw one posted and I'm thinking of applying. I work for one of the big manufacturers and got shit on in my review.. incredibly pissed about it.

I would think its a far less competitive environment with only one major competitor. There are new flea and tick products coming to market everyday, and lets just say my current company may not have the best of reputations in the industry.

does a key account position offer anything different then a typical vet field rep?

It is a higher ranking job but the company itself is still run by incompetents. Give it a try if you are desperate.
