Rosa Delays

Anyone have an answer that isn’t corporate BS regarding Rosa availability. I know it’s hard to believe, but we actually have a facility willing to pay for one but I can’t get a straight answer as to when we can actually deliver.

Anyone knows what is the quality management system and agency for this company?
may be there is some issues with the CE marking or EU licensing agreements or possibly with FDA

Trying to figure out why we have to hire a new rep to cover tka cases with Rosa coming. So same pay for the tka but since ZB doesn't provide a robot rep like Mako we have to eat the cost of a junior rep.

ZB blows

Just wait cause your contract pricing will also drop soon. Less money for everyone = more work for you. I flat out refuse to sell robotics, 95% marketing BS for patients to fall for and Dr’s to get caught up in. Unless they are getting paid to use it most will quit using it after a Year usually, and it will get dusty and you are left with less money annually for a zimmer project that in the end will never even matter.

So, when a company offers something for free if the business increases, isn’t that an inducement? I now have heard of two different scenarios in different states where a Rosa was given to a hospital as long as they met certain sales numbers. Can you say whistleblower?

It's not free--per the earnings call this morning: capital can be paid for through directed rebates from volume commitments on products. Stryker offers this option, ZB offers this option, and probably every other large med device company offers this type of option.

Exactly right. Whichever dinosaur that thinks this is an issue hasn’t been paying attention to last 20+ years in med device.

True that every company offers a fee per use model but not every company will recognize capital and have a lease payment that erodes the implant revenue

Are you raising the price of the implant to cover the cost of the ROSA??? If the price of the implant has not changed and they now have a robot (which they did not pay capital for) - how much did the ROSA cost??

True - Every company offers a fee per use program - the difference is most don't recognize capital and erode the implant revenue with a bank payment

if you place a ROSA through a directed rebate and don't increase the cost of the implant to the facility how much did the "not-free" ROSA cost??? I'm sure every one of these directed rebates that we've done have included a price increase.
;)

convert competitive accounts and you won’t have problems.

I get it from net revenue standpoint but unless you upcharge the implant (competitive or not) the perception is still a free nav system.. I mean ROSA...

Why do you think ROSA capital is now being reported to the street in the "other division"? Bury the lease payments and capital comparable in a different group so it doesn't hurt the knee business reported performance to the street. Smart! If it was additive it would still be buried in the knee business - just sayin'. Knee/hip performance drives stock price

Bingo, Hanson knows how to manipulate so shareholders are clueless, then when there’s no more he can do they sell and make a very large bonus. Just watch.
