Roche Carolina

A certain Leadership Team member shares a lot of details with his direct reports. The things that he has shared over the past six years are astounding and seem to be true.

What was said was most of the Leadership Team would move on with Roche or retire or be let go. The team members did not know how to run/work in the CMO business.

As far as cuts it was said 20 to 30% but based on current wages compared to standard rate - so higher paid in the same job would see a larger reduction. Also some lab areas were over compensated compared to industry and some QA areas were over staffed compared to other CMO sites.

Sorry to have summarized or paraphrased.

Thank goodness the "certain leadership team member" has a big mouth...its either "J" or "S". Never trusted either of those nimrods because they don't know how to keep things confidential...like going back in time to junior high with those two morons. Hopefully, they will both be gone soon with the rest of the FLT, especially our moronic site head...the only who will make out like a bandit in all of this.

When i read that post i imagined the source was SM

QA was never overstaffed until we implemented the idiotic Genentech Quality systems which only resulted in 483's because the system was so restrictive it was impossible to follow to the letter and way, way over the top for a chemical API producer. The FLT not only doesn't know how to run a CMO, they turned into such sheep they forgot how to run any business. They did turn into wonderful cheerleaders though.

Nah. It's SM. He tells leadership meeting secrets in the lunchroom at the top of his lungs (with his twist on how it was a brilliant idea if his; stupid if anyone else's). The man has no integrity and no decency. He is the definition of a poor leader.

Give this writer the prize. He hit the nail squarely on the head in all regards.

Its unanimous...SM all the way around! Watch his poor excuse for a mammal land a great gig when the dust settles.

Guess I didn't do too bad. Took severance, early retirement, and got a job with a 16.5% raise from RCI. And I didn't have to put up with the crap for the last two years.
Best wishes to those who had the fortitude to stay. I know it was a long journey and hope all works out with your new employer.

Via LinkedIn, i'm sure the company will be fine with all of this legacy talent:

Sr. Supervisor
Sr. Manufacturing Manager
Sr. Process Manager
Sr. Automation Engineer
Sr. Administrative Assistant
Sr. Chemical Operator
Principal Manager
Sr. Program Manager
Sr. Technical Manager
Sr. QC Associate

With all of that seniority, one would think they could have figured out how to run the site at capacity or make a profit. Oh well, at least there (was) another FloHo to go to.
