People are not making bonus and senior management has no urgency to change that. Every RM in this company is looking for a job. I promise you that at least 80% are out of here.
Jason Whiting is blind. instead of fixing problems, he has implemented a field tracking system, he is reading field coaching reports and has turned the area directors into micro managing nightmares. The RMs in turn are being forced to breath down your neck for metrics they don't give a shit about. I have been here a handful of years, and have done well and have done ok. This year is the worse year of my career, I have not made bonus, my AD refuses to fight for me to the VP for any relief, my tm's are not making bonus and there is NO relief being given on this. Jason had a call with us and blames vacancies for not growing but said everyone else is. He is clueless. He said he has read hundreds of coaching reports and has put micro management issues in place. Our global CEO is micro managing instead of FIXING! It is a disaster here and the ONLY positive thing he said on our call us that the ASM will not be in AC. That is All! In the meantime we can continue to not make bonus, struggle to make ends meet OR we can LEAVE! Get your resume out there. We are in a critical situation that has no positive outlook. Don't let Bob greene's positivity fool you! I heard horse shit straight from Jason's mouth. This is the worst!!!!!
All true. And worse, the pool of candidates who haven't heard of Zoll is shrinking. The job of the RM has never been harder. Of 10 candidates, only one will be dumb enough to take the job and it is never the most highly qualified. It is typically the least qualified one who didn't research the company. Then since they can't handle the job, they are gone in months. It is a management nightmare, always back filling roles, always filling in for vacancies, never getting ahead.
Well said, but you forgot the part where the RM carries the quota growth even after TMs depart. You can't possibly manage a region successfully while carrying the burden of growing a vacant territory or two. Even after a new TM is hired, the RM still carries the previous TM's out-of-control quota. No chance to make a decent living with 45-50% turnover while you're working 24/7. Its a visious cycle and not much you can do to affect the outcome. Stay away from this place!
Quotas are set using the highest revenue of the year. A two month snapshot at fiscal year-end is what's used to run a trend line for quotas. Thus, your quota begins to grow every 2 weeks following the highest revenue bookings of the year. Since this is the fiscal year-2end scramble to book revenue, you later get hit with negative adjustments. The negative adjustments can bring you down below 80% to plan in a heartbeat.
Dont take this job unless you are unemployed. Make no mistake, this place is a nightmare.

The RM job at ZOLL LifeVest is a major risk. Do not take this job unless you are unemployed! Do yourself and your family a favor by reading the thousands of posts on here. This is NOT just a few negative people venting. It is real and your family deserves to know what you are getting yourself into. You will make money the first 6 months and get excited. You will get sucked in by the great feeling of saving lives. After 6 months, your quota will get out of control and you will have openings. Your new hires will have a lower quota, but you will carry the old quota (much higher). If you have to clean house and fire everybody, get ready to carry the work load yourself (24/7) while your quota grows faster than what you can recover. You will be compensated on percent to plan based on revenue which you have ZERO control of. You can grow your MOs, but that's doesn't always translate into revenue and you will feel like you're always playing catch-up. The Quota is unrealistic with many flaws. Don't listen to the 1-2 RMs that are making their numbers as this will be short lived for them too. They won't tell you this because they are secretly looking for a new gig or haven't found anything better yet. Stay away if you can help it.

More RMs on their way out. This place is a revolving door with TMs. If you emjoy spending all your time interviewing reps while making crappy money, then this job is for you.
