This original post must be a joke. It is so obvious that no one cares about the field. The turnover rate reflects that. The internal workings of this company are nothing short of bizarre. BIZARRE. It is embarrassing and scary to watch. I've been here 4 years and looking to go. I just can't take it anymore.

I also know GV. Solid performer who was asked to change territory several times. Every time territory grew at nice pace. Great manager also. Hired experienced reps with lots of hospital experience and contacts. I hear as soon as mike d hired new inexperienced manager everybody left. Guess the guy has issues.

How many of the merry misfits in this organization have a military background in leadership positions? Who would you want in a foxhole next to you? Who would you trust? I met Capt Vanderhorst a bunch of times and he always was very engaging and someone whom you felt valued by and could trust. I would suggest two things from the merry misfits here: 1.) its Capt. Vanderhorst b@##*, have respect for a man who has served honorable for his country and knows how to lead. 2.) just say Thank you for your service and walk away. Until you pick up a weapon, defend this country and lead and mold young men, your credibility as a leader and as a person of integrity will always pale in comparison. This company has run good leaders of potential out the door because they are scared of their own misgivings and have nothing of personal growth to offer.

Hang in there. I am working on making some of the changes you suggested but these sorts of things don't happen overnight.

Until you revamp customer service, make the Account rep a SUPPORT role and not compensated on controlling inventory and remove managers without cardiac experience who bring no value except buying lunch, I'm not listening. To many years of empty promises. And by the way, this feeble attempt by some stupid manager to attempt to slow the mass exit of employees from this company -AINT WORKING!

We do not need our hands held or even direction from managers that have no cardiac experience or an understanding of the device or the role it plays within the cardiac market. All we ask is that you give us the tools we need to be successful. All we ask is that you give us the tools we need to be successful. So far you have failed to do so. If you want sales growth you need people to convince Drs that this piece of shit is worth the patient calling their office and complaining it is uncomfortable. Or that it alarms and shocks every time the cough. If you think that's easy than you sell it. After one week you will understand all the stupid policies Zoll has working against sales. You think Drs believe this product is absolutely essential? Lol you have no clue about Cardiology. If it's such a great product and sells itself then wait for an MO to come in and just have a PSR in hand to fit. Skip sales. After your market shrinks because of out of sight out of mind come back to us and bring your wallet.

This guy is a complete idiot. He thinks build it and they will come. Lol. Do you think Inplantable defibrillators need to be sold? No sales force no reminder to the Drs about patients who benefit from the product. You think this product is black and white in terms of who should use it? Well let me tell you a secret, if that was the case we would be selling millions of dollars LESS every year! Sales has over sold this product so much and we are being rewarded with entry level managers, policies that drive our customers crazy and the degradation of the Zoll name. I for one wish you would do away with the sales force so you marketing geniuses can handle MOs and calls over the phone. Lol you have no idea how many patients you lose now because of the hastle, phone calls, incomplete documents and mistakes made by customer service. Drs like to use products when they are easy and don't require a lot of work on their part. Phone call hook up return. Don't bother them in the mean time. If they need something they will call. Unfortunately Zoll hasn't figured this out. Their answer is e ordering. Lol! What a nightmare to come. Wait until more documents are needed to approve the patient before they are fit and customer service has been calling the janitor looking for the receptionist who was put in charge of locating documents. HA! In the mean time the Dr thinks everything is good. He wrote the MO. He goes to the hospital only to see mr farkle and the rest of his family waiting on discharge. Guess what's holding him up? You got it! The product he doesn't want to be a pain in the ass now has become just that. Now the 1% probability that anything will happen to the patient vs another bed day and a pissed off administrator kicks in and I think you get the rest. Yeah this product doesn't need to be sold and we are all whiners. Lol

This sums up the whole company. Please do tell what does marketing do? Set up booths at shows that nobody attends? Seriously what do you do??? How do you support sales??? I didn't even know we had a marketing team? I don't remember anything ever being sent to my house that ever had any value. Detail pieces? Not needed? Copy's of 10 year old clinicals? Not needed. So tell me what does the market need as you've stated in your post? What article can you reference that shows sales people have low self esteem? I myself played a professional sport and have enough confidence to fill your office building. I don't need you patting me on the back or saying good job. In fact I don't even want you to talk to me. The less questions you ask the happier I am. Please continue doing whatever it is you do and remember you have not affected one patient with your work. We don't want your shit we don't use your shit we don't need your car seats and parachutes to embarrass us anymore.
