Companies pay severance for 3 reasons:they are moral, they are following the law b/c they took aid from the state of Mass, or they need employees to sign a confidentiality agreement to keep their dirty little secrets hidden.

I've been following this company for a while and I only have one question for the employees at Organogenesis. What the hell is wrong with your company? It looks like your company is ready for a union, so keep your eyes open for union reps in the parking lots. I've seen it before at companys I've worked at, all it takes is one disgruntled worker. If they are not going to give severance to those they already let go, we KNOW what's next for us and we won't be looking for union reps in the parking lot...we will be calling them.
 




































Call the governors office and your district representative to complain that they took state money to hire and are laying off without severance. Complaining here does nothing. If they are not aware that severance is required because OI took state aid, educate them. remember 70 % of us are next - so every single employee should call.

I wonder if this is why they won't released the number of people laid off. The list of names is being kept from the us. We only know of those asked not to come back. Where is the list of those forced to work the 60 days before being kicked out?
 












IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

In an effort to ensure that management will receive an increase in their end of year bonuses, additional layoffs will occur on 24 December. Please also be advised that the employee holiday party is canceled in a cost saving effort. The executive leadership holiday retreat to San Diego will occur as planned, however with a slight change in entertainment. This year we will eat, drink, and merrily discuss who we will layoff. This will allow us to claim it as a business expense on our taxes.

O.i. Doesn't care about its patients or patient safety...why would anyone think they would care about their employees or would pay severance? The only "recovery" they care about is "stock"!
