Restructuring

If anyone thinks this is an Obama thing, they are in complete denial. We increased the price 50% and didn't make the product any more effective Doesn't take a genius to figure that there would be some push back.

What are you talking about, price has gone from $1362 to $1704 in 4 years, not out of line! We have too many reps, grew too fast, doubled field force without really doing our homework, now the territories are too small and the overhead is too big to cover the price cut, pretty simple math. Thank you Tom Goga and all the baggage that followed.

Don't fool yourself. Not only Tom's fault. Following the plan given to him from above. The pawn's take the hit for who needs to have the finger pointed at them. Allan and Albert need to take a close look at those close to them for answers. Executive level that try to bring family and friends in the business.

I do not work for OI but months ago was considering a federal job. Why on gods green earth would a company that is laying off experienced wound care reps go and hire in a brand new force of federal TRS's? To me, it seems completely backwards let alone a slap in the face to existing employees. Am I missing something?

Of course it was out of line. In fact, CMS drew a line, and we were well past it. Nice try to deflect things onto Goga. I am sure he was driving our pricing, reimbursement strategy, product development, building plans, manufacturing costs.

Why can't we just lower the price of Apligraf? Shire announced yesterday that they're dropping the price to $1360 and they're not letting anyone go. As a matter of fact, effective Jan. 1, Shire will be launching their Federal Sales Force too.

This sounds like a pump-and-dump stock trader for one of the collagen companies trying to determine what the market leader is going to do in response to the ruling. Nice try, Mr. Pimple-on-our-ass. Go back to your own message boards.

I think it's pretty obvious what the company is going to do. Many biotech analysts already believe Shire is done and Orgenogensis is not far behind.

I wonder if the total mismanagement of funds, the multiple high, high dollar meetings a year (yes lets take everyone off territory for 3 weeks a year) and pompous, greedy and we are better than everyone attitude of upper management has anything to do with this...

As if the sales force didn't buy into and participate with the elitist attitude. How many posts of the low life of pharma, yet most OI reps are from pharma and most have or will go back to pharma. Please.

So glad i turned down a sales mgt position here a year ago. I was able to contact a few former managers who gave me the inside scoop regarding this place and turned down the offer. At the time it was the Merck morons according to these guys who were ruining the place. Thank god I never did sign on. good luck to everyone.

These parties could not be cost effective because someone at the very highest level of HRs husband was paid thousand upon thousands of dollars to run them....no conflict there!

anyone heard about a package for the poor folks losing their jobs at Christmas??? Hope it's better than the 2 weeks per year you get when you don't perform, what about Gentuit team and 60 days, is that what R&D was told too?

No package for performers who loose their jobs...not even 2 weeks per year. Note to self- start underperforming and I'll get 2 weeks per year.
