They killed the dental division. You gotta try hard to be as stupid as they have been. I was with the company for over a decade (ZD) and finally got out. It wasn't great with Harold and Nazzi boy, but everyone knew what made ZD good - was the reps and RM's. Trust me there are better companies out there that truly value their employees. Get out - you will be better for it. I know it's a great industry, but they are literally begging you to leave now.

Even with our “uncapped” commissions, grabbing all the business in my market would earn me about $90k this year. I think I will just take a gap year instead. Maybe open a side business and let ZD fund it until I get up and running.

What I won’t do is bring in one additional dollar to this company. Just take orders for now on. Every dollar I go out and win could help keep the current leadership in place. Sadly we have to fail to promote change.

As a hiring manager with two open territories to fill it is already impossible to find qualified talent that is willing to accept our comp plan. At best we can get a Young recent grad to take the job, but they only want to use it as a stepping stone to an OR position.

I can not hire quality applicants, keep my current territories staffed, and my tenured reps from spending all their time looking for a better opportunity as it is. I don’t have enough time in my month to even consider the sales deficit, or the myriad of “breakthrough” new ideas for micromanagement that corporate leadership is asking of me. Not to mention that I have my own family and life I am forced to neglect as a direct result of how hard it is to hire quality reps under this regime, I mean plan.

Obviously you hate the sales leadership. Clearly they undervalue you and they have no idea what it takes to do the job you are asked to do. But if you have any heart at all, do not make it harder on us hiring managers to fill our open positions.

We all want things to go back to how they once were. To be honest, I just want to have dinner with my daughter more than once a week.
 




There are qualified individuals out there. Perhaps you should concentrate more on the regenerative line of products. Implants have become a commodity depending on the market your in. If service Greater New York City you are up against a ton of implant companies. As not being able to find people perhaps the profession has turned their backs on the company. it saddems me that you are sacrificing tiime away from your daughter. Please remember with all the money in the world you cant buy time. Many dead billionaires!!!!!

Actually many clinicians would argue with you that you can use a synthetic bone in the socket prior to implant placement. Secondly there are may. Competitors to the bone and regenavate products do the fact that you think they are not commodities tells me that you aren’t a sales rep because all sales reps know that bone is one of the biggest commodities out there. Maybe you would argue that Puros is the best, take a look at why so many use Straumann bone at a less expensive price. Furthermore we lose so much business from our counterparts in CMF and extremities that also sell Puros and for less than what we can sell it for. Let that sink in....

You remember the recall you all had and had to tell your customers to go get tested? Great job troll. Who cares? You are posting your argument to the wrong thread. Who do you think your audience is here? We aren’t a group of satisfied ZD reps that are looking to engage in some debate with you about the history of products or companies.

Whoever you are we don’t care. Perhaps read the thread. We hate ZD. We hate how they treat us, how they lie to us, how they demean us, and how they severely undervalue us. You came to the wrong place to pick a fight. No one is more aware of ZD problems then us at ZD. That’s what pisses us off. We stick up for this crap day in and day out for years and all the company wants to do is push us out by cutting our pay by $15k. That’s the thanks we get.

I do not feel lucky to work at ZD. I hate it. I feel trapped by my noncompete. I feel lied to. ZD is lucky to have us, but they have forgotten that. No wonder our sales suck. Who wants to stick their neck out to defend a company that treats their employees like this?

Ok Cool Aid Drinker!! The company is a joke.... cutting salaries by 15k, you’ll see another 51% of sales rep with 6 months of experience like you did in 2017! Have fun looking like a loser again, Radman!!

This is exactly what our leadership thinks of us. Blame us for lagging sales and then DISINCENTIVIZE our sales efforts.
