Regenerative Medicine

Right.

get out of patient charts. stop filling out insurance verification forms on your own. stop paying your docs all that $ for lame talks. clinical hours? what a joke. you guys are worse than the old gang. at least they could sell and were respected. you are just unethical pharma hacks.

Here is that same person again!! How many posts do you need to make on the same thread with the same comments???

Here is that same pharma manager and/or La Jolla tard that ignores the truth. Why are you forcing us to do illegal activities? You watch my counterparts do it and turn your head. Same old pharma tactics. Your words say "we are ethical pharma people" but your actions say - still wear scrubs. Patient charts - that is fine - don't get caught. Running insurance - you have to - its the only way to help centers - don't get caught. Patient rooms - scamming for off label patients - this is our best practice - don't get caught. Shameful pharma people.

how much time do you really think we have here?

I've never been a part of a more disfunctional company in my career, and I've been a part of a number of them. No one seems to know what they're doing and constant change.
And i agree with previous posts, maybe we've lost the scrubs but that's where the "compliance" seems to end. total joke

anyone hearing anything about how much time we have

With many of our reps selling 10-20 pieces per month, it won't take long until this thing is over. All of these additional layers of nurses, managers, support staff, and we still can't make this dog run. Our only saving grace is that medicare gets charged $10,000 per treated ulcer - healed or not.

agree with this last post-this really can't go on for much longer
this would make an amazing case study- how quickly poor leadership and bad decisions can screw up a really good thing. another title might be- how not to run a company
welcome to pharma

Shire really needs a reason? Those getting let go now should be thankful. Big fat severance payout now and an opportunity to find something with a future vs a horrible culture in a fast sinking ship? Hmmmm. Even if you ignore the DOJ piece, this whole thing was mishandled from day one. Lets pull it out from Specialty, make it a new business unit, and put an R&D egomaniac and a castaway shipped back from Switzerland in charge. A recipe for success? Not!

RM just changed the captain of the boat from the megalomaniac to a picked up castaway who has no idea how to lead without openly threatening people's jobs, that's leadership alright! This boat has lots of holes in it and is sinking. The course Shire has set with the new castaway captain has lots of rocks along the way, and the castaway couldn't navigate his way around the RM San Diego site, never mind develop and implement a successful business plan. Not enough life boats to go around and I bet the current leadership won't go down with the boat, ha, more like look after themselves first and damn the rest. Good luck to anybody in RM, I am sorry to say you are going to need it.

I left RM a couple of weeks ago and can't even begin to explain the sense of relief. I was one of the old ABH crew that had to sit and watch this disaster unfold until I found the right move. Truly is sad how this thing has been run into the ground because the product is amazing and makes a difference. Good luck to all remaining . . .

That's what happens when Big Pharma takes over an aggressive old school ethically challenged group. They certainly would rather loose sales than have to pay multi million dollar fines for inappropriate medicare sales promotions!

None of you are giving due credit. He is really good at scooping ice cream. That has to count for something. The reason he threatens and transitions people out is because he has to show he is doing something. The problem is that laying people off is not a real solution to the issues facing the organization. He does not have the skills to lead or solve problems, so he does the easiest and most visible thing he is capable of. The problem is it costs the company a lot of money in severance packages to avoid wrongful termination suits with no real benefit to move the company forward. Put your life vests on as the ship is definitely taking in water.

With the ice cream socials, coffee morning invitations, town hall meetings, and that ridiculous grapevine question disaster, I think there is some emergency like-ability coaching going on for the castaway. Unfortunately, once you have already demonstrated your leadership skills of fear mongering and intimidation in all-employee venues, it is difficult to suddenly become someone who people want to follow. They don't trust you, they don't believe you, and they all have one eye on an exit. Watching this has been a complete education on; what not to do, how not to manage a company, how not to lead. Priceless!

Fair enough on the fine statement. However; Shire's problem here was their ego. They were absolutely certain that their pharmaceutical experience/success would translate to this industry and it did not. Things were changed on a weekly basis that kept our customers in a constant state of confusion which led to decreased sales. You can only apologize for the ineptness of the company so many times before customers no longer listen or care.

I am one of the former ABH reps that left right after the original management was let go. What are some of the things you are having to apologize for in your accounts? Just curious? It's really unfortunate they are burning this thing to the ground. Good luck to the legacy ABH people that are still waiting to leave for better opportunities. The device job market is actually pretty good right now. Find what you really want and go after it!

Just sit right back and you'll here a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, that started from this south western port aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailing man, the skipper brave and sure...

We have to apologize for the fact that we are forced to follow our customers around from room to room scamming for patients. If it is off label and private insurance, we pull the chart, run the insurance verification and cross our fingers. Embarrassing.
