The poster is saying why pay a recruiter for a talented candidate when the network is there to find your own candidates. LinkedIn is a built in recruiter in itself. And all these manufacturers have their own recruitment staff
And if you are a candidate from one of those recruiting firms like listed above then most likely you are a human resource candidate that is needed as a filler candidate to ensure they can say they interviewed enough candidates and showed diversity on their search. So you will get told you were a great runner up for the job
Like Keefers garbage email with all those fake positions and write ups.....give me a break
I have been in a position to use recruiters for the past 8 years to hire for different sales people across the county. I have not used them once due to my past experiences with them which have been very unprofessional, rude and horrible at follow-ups and communication when I was a candidate. I simply keep utilizing internal recruiters and HR for the screening and hiring.
Now that I can provide them substantial business and opportunity to make money they knock down my door with regularity. I don't mean just the entry level recruiters I am referring to the owners of these agencies calling and trying to meet with me, following up with me every few months with VMs and emails. I refuse to use any of them due to the way the chose and choose to conduct themselves with ALL candidates/customers then and currently.
To any recruiter reading this...lesson learned is you need to treate everyone with the same profesissionalism and courtesy no matter what their title due to you never know who will be a client one day.

Have ANY of you EVER asked a recruiter who calls or emails you...for THEIR resume?!
Ask them about their education...
ASk about their most recent successful placements...
Ask to see a list of companies they have worked with and references...
Unfortunately, several recruiters you rely on dont even have a college education. Some are in their early - mid 20's and again...you are putting your careers in their hands.
ASK FOR THEIR RESUME'S!!!!!!

'Bio- Health Sourcing' same operation as former Pharmaforce Worldwide? These two the same? Both front with sketchy websites. Little to offer and no specifics. feedback?
Keefer is an odd duck and a fraud. When I got the boot in 2005, I was advised to call Keefer. She was sham then. In the height of 2010 lay offs and manage care firings she would send out long lists of stellar managed care jobs. Oddly, they were the same jobs she was sending out five years previously.
I hope she ends up living out of her car.
