Yes I did but didn't have to. Colcrys was approved before we purchased it. The study was conducted by URL before we got involved. Takeda didn't set up the study. The study was done because the FDA was going to pull colchicine from the market along with another 2000 drugs that were never approved but was currently being sold. This great "article" (which is not an article but you are most likely a young in and don't have a clue as to what you read and believe everything on the Internet) mentions how the government is not involved. Also they mention the people from URL as the ones responsible for the study.

Now I don't look stupid but in fact smart. You my friend are a sheep and believe everything you read and post without actually doing any research. The fact that this is all info reps that work at Takeda are fully aware of because we had to deal with the complaints about price for 6 months and what big bad Takeda did. But we made sure the docs understood there would be no Colchicine/Colcrys if it wasn't for that lawyer group URL and if it wasn't for Takeda.

Seriously you don't have a clue. Stop reading headlines and do some research before you post. Get a clue

Totally incorrect. The FDA was not going to pull generic colchicine from the market and Takeda bought this drug knowing full well that it could blow up in their face which it has. I would hardly call that / you smart

Oh my god you are a moron. First I never said generic colchicine, you did. And the article stated colchicine was part of the FDA's "Unapproved Drug Innitative".
What was the "Unapproved Drug Innitative" dumb dumb? I will answer because it is obvious you are an idiot. It was in 2006 when the FDA was removing medications not approved by the FDA. URL conducted the study you were referring to. Takeda purchased Colcrys after it was approved. Takeda never conducted a study. Get it??? Probably not

The program was to incentivize company's to conduct additional research so the door of uncertainty could be closed on certain off label indications

it had been used this way for over 20yrs and would not fall into the category of needing to be pulled

Just google it. In 2006 this was set up to remove drugs from the market but give the opportunity for these drugs to go through the same standards as current medication. No new study, drug gets pulled.

Colchicine wasn't pulled because of URL's study that you are referring to above. I am so confused as to why you think otherwise. It's pretty simple. Colchicine is pointed to as the issue with the program. But the fact still remains, the FDA's initiative was to "remove unapproved" drugs from the market.

It would not have been removed and there was no timeline for it to be removed
 
















The argument that Q reps were all shit is as intellectually bankrupt as the dolt who originally posted it. There were good / bad reps on the Quintiles side and an EQUAL number of good / bad reps with Takeda. Takeda asked for no pharma experience on this contract and they got EXACTLY what they paid for. Maybe 50% of these reps picked it up quickly, the others either were too young and immature to handle the freedom this job provides.

Yes, from the Q perspective, it sucks that the contract ended early. But that's business. We all knew this decision could happen and was made by a corporation. Corporations are soulless ghouls who ONLY work for the share holder. The sooner you figure that out, the better off you'll be.

The real disappointment is the complete and total lack of class displayed by Takeda senior management (RSD and above) once this went down. Things went from "You are a highly valued member of this ONE TEAM" and "If there's anything I can do for you, let me know" last Monday to..."go fuck yourself- I've used you up and now I have no use for you. Hell, I can't even be bothered to respond to an email or text from you now...you don't even exist anymore."

For the Q reps- they dangle the carrot of "you may get a job in November provided you fuck yourself over by working here and not looking for a job". Wake up!! You had better find yourself a job between now and Jan 22nd. If you think Takeda will auto roll you over in these "potential" spots, you're out of your mind. The FSM's- they've been fucked from the beginning. Never was there a plan for them except to use them until they were run ragged and burned out. Then they're kicked to the curb. Thanks for killing yourself...now piss off.

Thank you Takeda for giving Q a few months to find jobs...hopefully that lets you sleep better at night knowing that you BOLD FACED LIED to us (Yes YOU Mike Bell) on multiple conference calls. Of course it also helps that you had a useful idiot as the Project Lead on the Quintiles side who couldn't see this massacre coming, even though she was told by multiple people on the Q side it was happening. THAT is where the leadership failed us.

Best of luck to the Takeda reps out there. 90% of you I ran across were great people. About 50% of the DSM's were decent and felt they weren't better than the FSM's. The other 50%? Douche nozzles who will be beaten down by karma in short order. The Takeda star isn't rising...it's burning out.
