I'm disappointed that there are barely any new posts. Anyone know what is going on? Have they finally shut the doors? Possibly found a way to bury this from the search results?

Update***VP of Sales brought on board to lead the culture change has been let go or left on his own accord after only six months. Pete is in charge again. Run away. Do not believe any empty promises of change. How they will get people gullible enough to come aboard now will be interesting.

Got a call from this company about a sales position. The manager I talked to sounded okay and so did the company and product etc. I was going to follow up with them etc etc. After reading these posts I will definitely not be pursuing this place. Too many detailed horror stories. Yes there are a lot of whiners on the site but this place sounds like an absolute nightmare!!

During my tenure with Polymedco, I can only speak good things about this company. Poly gave me the foundation I needed to grow in the medical device industry and I will always be grateful for the experience provided.

Yep, they must need some fresh meat to throw in the grinder. Been out of that hell hole for years now. Amazed that they're still around. Couldn't be happier to be away from this organization. Worst job I've ever had.

June 6th douche here!
Keep up your pity parade in the world on Internet anonymity. No one cares about you or your resume. At least Poly is saving lives, while you sit behind your computer whining.

June 6th douche goes from speaking in the past tense about their positive employment experience to speaking in the present tense about defending poly based on how its saving lives?

Its obviously not one of the 20 year managers or execs who feed off of the young talent they churn and burn in hopes of taking advantage of future reps who are naive enough to give poly a chance.

Wake up ... the products are great. The culture is offensive.

Are the products that great?

I have been speaking with a recruiter over the past week regarding an opening with PolyMedCo, and after reading all of this I have a knot in my stomach. I must say the recruiter is awesome and she's done a great job at selling PolyMedCo. Has anyone joined the company since they've launched Epi proColon? Newly FDA approved blood test for CRC. The comp plan (120 base 180 OTE) and benefits sound great and I was told "there have been a lot of changes recently and they are trying to change the culture by bringing in new executives (Mike and Pete from Abbott)" If anyone can give me some honest feedback that would be great! I am with a terrible medical company now that has no processes in place, and last thing I want to do is go to another unethical company and be miserable after 6 months! Thanks so much for the input!

Full disclosure, I haven't worked for them for years but this sounds like the same story they come up with whenever they want to hire people that ask about this message board. I'd be shocked if they had actually made positive change. It doesn't matter who they bring in as long as Pete W is still running the place.

Run away. Run away as fast as you possibly can. Micromanagement. Poor leadership. Unethical treatment of employees. The turn over should be an indication of just how bad the environment is.
This company is the poster child for everything not to do in managing a sales force.

Unfortunately it's the same crap different day, and the new Abbott sales team and VP is no different than previous VP's and reps brought in. The Abbott Team is what Abbott had fired/laid off, the entire team, and now Polymedco hired them as managers under the auspice that they had done the exact same sale and could teach Polymedco how to close their sales cycle down to 3 months. Yet NONE of the Abbott folks have done exactly that. hmmmm.... Stay away Polymedco really is as bad as everything you could possibly read, unfortunately. You'll hear a great pitch from the recruiters and from new reps and new managers but just ask, how long has the average rep been working here.... That speaks volumes. It's really quite sad. They change commissions plans arbitrarily and don't inform the reps and claim they told you verbally, to avoid payment. It's really bad management and blaming staff. HR is no different they are used to covering for the executive management team. It's an experience like no other for sure. Great products, successful in spite of themselves for sure. Not bitter just very disappointed in the way they treat employees and especially how they discriminate against women and minorities for sure. Move on don't bother to waste your experience and education here... they won't and don't appreciate good talent especially one's passionate about the actual sale.

Poly will hire your naive ass with a high base and a promise of big checks only to screw you if you ever make a big deal. I have seen it done at least 5x. They bring in young and hungry reps that will do their best for a year or two while looking for the next gig. Straight up ask them how tenured is the most senior sales rep? Managers 20 years. Like bloodsucking pests they somehow live with themselves screwing over so many families. "We are changing" is the lie they sale like an insurance company hiring young. Maxing out their efforts and connections then fucking them over. Meanwhile poly has three to four decades of this formula and its brilliant for those who can profit from it and sleep at night. Pete, Jay, Rick, Vince, Aaron and whomever else sold their soul i have one word "karma".
