its too bad hearing all this bad stuff....seems like poly has a good reputation in the market as far as products/service go. have talked to some institutions and they are happy with poly. sorry to hear that reps/managers have been a problem or treated badly. one would hope that new managers could band together but i agree....old habits die hard! did they get rid of one of their recent manager hires? thought they hired 1 or 2 but could not confirm.
wish we could hear from one of the recent managers and get their take on recent activities!

Don't be fooled by the positive remarks on this board. They are put here by polyjoko people to fool more rookie sales reps into taking the plunge. polyjoko is on this board regularly to manipulate the realities of this nightmare company. polyjoko has no intentions of changing it's way of doing, dare I say business.

where are the positive remarks? I've only seen negative. previous poster seemed like was looking for good remarks but can't find any. I agree with that poster, would like to hear (legitimately) from current or even better this recently fired regional. What the hell is going on there? seems like FIT is a good product but even a good product can't survive bad management.
any insight from current or recent employees would be welcomed....good or bad...

Despite the narrative being consistent over 8 pages and several years, still somehow people jump on here and question the validity of these posts. If you are doubting that what is written is true, then by all means take the job. I can't say much, because I did the same despite my better judgement, however I can definitively tell you that:

a) you will make decent money, although not what they promise,
b) you will receive the same, outdated sales training that they have been pushing for the past decade,
c) it won't take long (less than a month) before you begin to realize that everything said on this message board is true,
d) you will get fired within 12 months, no matter how well you are doing, and management will do anything that they can to hold back or pro rate your final commission check.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you are looking for a first job and a way to make some money, this is an option you could consider as long as you don't end your job search upon hire. This is a job, not a career, so if you have something to fall back on, feel free to try this experiment and add to the message board WHEN it doesn't work out. If you are trying to further your career, or have a family to support, the instability of this place will leave you regretting your decision such that taking the job should be regarded as very irresponsible.

Good luck, let us know how it goes...

I went in thinking thing would change. But, nothing changed. Things maybe got a little worse. There was still a lot of turnover. Pete put someone in charge that adds to those issues.

Great products, but poor management. I keep hoping that new managers and sales people would change things, but it can't when they report to the people that cause these issues. The good ones just leave instead of fight for change.

Don't take the job unless you can't find anything else. Ask them if anyone is meeting their goals.

Maybe someone will buy the company and change everything. Maybe some outside help will take those great products to a new level.

They might have 1 good product really. The rest of them are outdated, antiquated or were products that failed miserably for the manufacturer in their markets and handed down to poly at a huge discount. By the way, even though poly claims to be a manufacturer they are not and really don't make anything. They simply put their label on it and call it something else. Poly is very similar to an army surplus outlet. Old technology is new technology when you are small potatoes.

You must be one of the recent managers they brought in from the outside and has recently left. I don't know who you are, but your thoughts and opinions on Poly are dead on. I was there for a year and it was by far the worst experience in a job I have either been in or heard of.

It's a good thing you left and are no longer there.....

I was hired in as a Region Manager and it took me all of 5 days to realize this company has poor leadership and direction. They seem to be a sinking ship and I would stay far away from this organization.

I did my home work on LinkedIn. I asked a few people on there about the company before declining an interview. I didn't like relying completely on this board because it tends to be mostly negative. But, what I found out was what was exactly on this board. Not very positive responses. Poor structure and poor leadership on the sales side. They did say support and service was good. If you are considering working for them, ask who is running the sales force and what companies that person has run in the past. You will be amazed at the answer.

Do your homework. It is better to wait and find the right place.

Kudos to you for checking on Linked In...good idea. Disappointed I wasn't contacted but then I remembered....I'm so embarrassed to have that blemish on my resume I decided to leave it off Linked In!

I was at Polymedco for a couple of weeks before I realized that I couldn't hold my end of the bargain with the travel. Maybe, I wasn't there long enough, but I did not have a bad experience. I thought Jay and I were on the same page and I felt everyone else in the training session with me were very impressive. I believe everyone I was there with is still with the Polymedco and the training was done last March.

Boy oh boy! Things never change. I'm a former rep here, there must be hundreds by now, and I come back for a good laugh from time to time. Here is the bottom line..Pete runs the show, Jay, his son, is a manager along with Vince and Aaron. All three managers ( if you can call them that) must make serious bank and don't care in the least about the reps from a business perspective. By going along with "crazy" Pete, they hold their lucrative jobs. That is it! Sure, they will be given different titles from time to time, heck I think Aaron was director of sales twice and demoted. Vince is the most recent to be "re-titled" to super manager or something. Oh I almost forgot ...Tom, the brother, was demoted from director of ESR to rep. I will tell you this..I think Tom, Jay, Aaron and Vince are all good guys on a personal level. Pete is nuts! Products...outdated ESR (heck even ESR is outdated, just ask any lab director where it falls on their priority list). OC Light....ok, but they even have recognized that it is better to focus on large hospitals with OC Auto....that's where they money is...for everyone but you! How do I know all this as a former rep from years past...cause nothing ever changes at Poly. HaHaHa!

looks like aaron is national sales manager, tom is rep, jay is national acct rep, i think they are hiring a bunch more regional managers to have around 6 i heard. wondering if nepitism is going to kill them or help them

My god.....The sick, dysfunctional cycle continues. I agree with the above poster about how the managers, Jay, Vince, and Aaron must get paid a lot to just bend over and take it from this company all day! They seem to have a nice rotation going on which one of the three will have the National Sales Manager title, and National Accounts title's. And as for Tom,....ya old goat, why don't ya save face and leave the company instead of being a 60-some year old sales rep who was DEMOTED from being a product line national director?? Gotta sting knowing the same reps you used to ride hard about peddling your crap are now your equals....Good luck with that!

If they hire 6 more Regional Managers like the person above mentioned, then they'll soon be like the recent manager who got burned and left.....

silver is the national sales manager? No way .. .you can't be serious. who are they are going to recruit to work for him.
I guess if the above poster is correct, they will have a new national sales manager in a few months anyways.

and 6 more managers? why? maybe because they lose one every few months.

this company is truly a joke. I am so glad I was able to find another job. I wish everyone there the same luck.
