Oh My!!!! I am about to interview with Polymedco and I was so excited, I'm currently at a 1099 position that is turning out as a complete disaster. My friend just got hired at Polymedco and LOVES it, but he is only in week 3....HELP ME

Your post was almost two months ago, any updates on either yourself or your friend? If you still have the shade pulled over your face, try to enjoy it.

Just note, however, that EVERYBODY on here can't be wrong. Learn how to make the most money you can as quickly as you can (ask about the new business report by territory if they don't show you it), don't EVER stop looking for a new job while you're collecting that pay check, and be sure to ask for a solid severance package when the summer is over and they are looking to cut costs before the end of the calendar year.

Say Hi to John Milazzo from the Polymedco Fan Club if he is still harassing customers and sales people alike.

What kind of severance package could one get if asked?

dead on poster #301. NEVER stop looking for a job when you are here. Please trust us. I was one of the ones on the short list that did not get fired and left on my own...was there less than a year and it was the biggest joke I have ever seen in my life. Creepy, awful, just plain wrong. DO NOT come here unless you are unemployed.

I heard that Polymedco has lost another batch of reps? Can anyone confirm? Pete runs this company by the pedal and coast method. He hires reps who pedal hard for about a year and grow thier business and then he lets them go so he can coast off of their hard work. Then when he hires a new batch of reps he doesn't have to pay them for the work of the previous reps. It is a briliant business plan for Pete but for everyone else, it pretty much sucks.

Look ...there are a lot of negative posts on this site. i think it is best to take things with a grain of salt when reading posts. However, this is not the case with Poly. It's pretty bad here. Here is my advice for anyone considering working here...DON'T! They are not truthful with you in the interview process. I'll sum up this company in one statement....."Metaphorically and literally, you will work with a-holes"

I'm kicking myself in the ass for passing on Polly.I'm a device Rep but was down sized and working outside the industry and making squat..very low pay. But passed on Polly BC my job is shitty but stable. Then again with their base and car plan if I lasted 6 months I'd have cleared a years pay where I am..is life quality honestly that bad at Polly? The way it sounds on cp its hell on earth how could a company be that bad ..why. would management an owners possibly treat people like this? MDs haven't caught on and said no more?did I make the right move? Polly has a training class in Chicago this week, and readers in it? How is it as bad as they say?

At 5/16 poster they had or have a class schedualed To start last Monday 5/13/13. I am the above poster by the way and passed, buy I really liked the sound of 80k base plus monthly car money. Are you a former victim? Lol. Phone screen was with Jay and it was odd as hell. He asked me questions like outsiders do (ever been on a non device sales interview-the questions they ask about our industry). It was bizzar he was asking about being in the or and like the future of device sales .he may have been testing me but it was like an outsider trying to gain industry knowladge. And he was all over the place, worse than any add driven manager I've met.very bad vibes.and this Guy is the face of the company for new recurits?then claimed to be friends with everyone I said I've worked with..like what I was lieing? This guy couldnt hold a thought or idea for more than 30 secs. Then he went into about a 9min rant whereas citing and referring to all this clinical informationlike he was just reading off of white papers or spewing up what Mrs wrote after clinical trials.I don't even think he understood what he was trying to communicate to me as he clearly didn't want me bumping. In with a questions.never had an interview like that before.

I see negative posts for years, but in CP..EVERY COMPANY is a sinking ship. I dont have time to call hopsitals and resp for feedback-but can it be this bad, how could any company fire good reps, just to save a few bucks on the flip side next year on comissions and always have training classes going. thats bad business. they are not shy about what CP has to say about them, and they say they are making real changes and value employees. I caught myself starting to buy into it, I'm a good rep and I actually get out and work 10 hour days-they have to see that effort, how could they in their right mind fire a rep like that. Any currents that havnt been fired and are pissed off have any advice. I have a family and I'm not a job hopper. I'm in device earning rnough to support a family of 4, but as far as device goes, I make very little. They say is 80k with 600.month for car. this would be a step up for me and make it ezasier to buy a home for my family..reps really last 6-12 months, have they hired any good reps w/ solid clinical knowladge and sales talent? I just dont understand why "no1" makes it a year. people want good reps, why fire them?
Thanks..

Brad,

You sound like you need a house to fall on you to get any common sense. I worked there and everything that is said on this board is true. I guess you have to live it to believe it but there are no exagerations posted here about how badly people are treated. The only people who last here are sociopathic back stabbing a holes because management is only impressed with people like themselves, therefore they tend to last there longer although even that has no guarantee. If you fall into this catagory then go for it.

The shear volume of negative posts on here is VERY alarming! That should be a clue to you, regardless of wheather or not "they dont try and hide CP comments". The foundation of the company hasn't changed since post#1 and neither will the culture as long as the same people run the company. No matter how good the product is, they just dont know how to treat people.
Former/existing employees and current Management can post what they want. A SUCCESSFUL sales force is a HAPPY sales force. A HAPPY sales force MAKES money. A HAPPY sales force that MAKES MONEY has loaylty to the company and doens't turn over every 6-12 months.

Several of the last few posts sounds like a current rep or manager trying to defend Polymedco. I can tell you there is one great lady hopefully still selling there and she was doing good last time we spoke but it's been a while.
My personal experience other than making a few good friends is this, Polymedco is cold hearted. Management there would fire you before they would give you the time to become successful at developing the territory.
Why? I do not know but it's the simple truth. I'm happy to have cafepharma to hopefully steer another person like myself in a more positive direction for their career.

I'm assuming your research is Linkedin in which case many of those reps have probably been "let go" but haven't updated their Linkedin profile. Trust me, only Pete's inner circle gets to stay longer than a few months.

Got contacted and passed as better position right now.

But in my research I found many reps still there 2/3 years and longer.

But this is CafePharma..........

By 2/3 if you mean two thirds of a year, you your research is correct. If anyone is interviewing with Polymedco, you have the right to ask them questions and demand proof of the answers you get. Ask them how many reps they have hired in the past 3-5 years and then ask them to prove it to you and then ask them to show you their current roster. They may not admit to firing these people but trust me, they were fired. Polymedco's business plan is to get new reps to work their asses off 24 hours a day to build up business and then let them go so the company can now reap the benefits of that reps work without having to pay bonus or salary. The Occult Blood business is prettys stable onc in place so the only need reps to grow business. By firing reps on a regular basis, they continually improve their margins. That is a FACT. Sincerely, x Cortland Manor Employee.

polyjoko is one of those loser type companies that loves to bask in the econo/corperate climat we all now live in where there is no oversite on how you conduct your buisiness on any level. The No accountability age is where a company like this can flourish on so many levels. No ethics of any sort is pretty much their motto. Cheat like hell in the industry we are in and treat people like dogs because we can and on top of that it's just plain fun. In another time, not so long ago, this company would be shut down like a chinese take-out joint getting cought serving cat meat in place of chicken.

Kind of like the whole lab biz these days - except for the VC places, they will get there, my first one did.

A Lack of a solid and connected business plan seems to be the issue from seeing this places website.

Also, learn to spell a little better - may assist in your career.

Kisses.
