Very Well Said! How could such a small company have such bad press on Cafe Pharma? Oh yea, it is all true, that's how! Don't believe their lies! Just go to their crappy office in NY and you will see the depression first hand!

Poly does, one crapper at a time. What more could one expect from a company pushing crap tests & urine tests? Enough said . . . . . . . .
 




I'm looking into a position at this company. I know there are tons of negative things on this board, but I am trying to get an assessment of how things are at this point in time, since lots of these posts are pretty old.

What are the regional managers like? Do they have enough clout to make decisions, or are all decisions big and small made from the top? It seems the managers have been with the company for quite some time, so they must be effective at some level, no?
 




If the same managers are there, then nothing has changed. They will probably tell you that things have changed but they haven't. They tell everyone that. Even if the posts are old, look at how many there are and how long the same complaints have been made. For years people have been warning others of how terrible this organization is. Listen to them. I would even choose retail over this place. No amount of money is worth working for Pete's machine of despair.

These posts have never changed from years ago till now. Sure, take the word of one manager trying to find a new suit driving city to city.
Or be the smarter one and take the hundres of negative comments and estranged poly reps who have went thru the same that you are now.

Don't fall for that line! The managers at Poly are nothing more than whipping boys for the owner who calls all the shots. Over the years, the landscape of Poly is littered with reps who were promised support from their managers but when the big boss man decides he needs to cut a few heads to save a few dollars, you will be out. If you are out of work and don't care about your career but just need a pay check, you can ge one here for a few months at least. Do you really want to sell One product? Think about it!
 




I am thinking of working here but the negative posts have me worried. Is there any good things here I can focus on. I was so excited until my friend said I should research first. This is the first thing that came up on my search. How could such a small company have so many bad things said about it? Is cafe pharma legit?

Thank you for the information and response. I decided not to venture into this company. Seems like the recruiters will tell you anything for the commision. There are just too many sales reps saying the same thing here about managers at this company. I looked at their website and found it very cheesy. My husband saw this company at the show the last 2 years and said they don't even make any of their products even though a girl at the booth said they do. He goes to many shows and thought Poly Medco is small time and used to sell chemistry machines that where junk.
 




To those of you wondering, this site is legit. You can take a job there, but you will regret it before the first month is over. Pete is a maniacal tyrant and he would fire someone just to get his way, no matter what it concerned. The problem with management is that they don't actually do anything except try to keep themselves from getting fired. Fact of the matter is, its just a bad place to be everyday. Co-workers are losing their souls and you soon too will feel yourself slipping away until Pete fires you. Oh happy day. Can't wait for the day Mr. Pete Welch meets Mr. Chuck Norris!
 












I knew things were fishy when my blackberry came out of a box of a dozen used ones. The it guy kept digging in for one that kinda worked. Thank god I was there for less than a year. The place is fuc@ing horrible.
 




Well, it is getting close to the end of the year for good old POLY. What does that mean?????? Well it means that is is time for Pete evaluate how poor everyone has performed and how bad they all suck. He may have a quick training trip to bring everyone to the shell of an office in Chicago which is really code to evaluate who he is going to fire before the end of the year. It is just history repeating itself over and over again. The only one who never learns in this equation is good old Pete. God help you all!

Is there anyone left to fire? I know it is the getting colder and the Holiday season in near.

There should be a couple of lowly office personnel to send to the icy streets in December without income. They love it. Merry Christmas. As he said to me prior to Christmas one morning, "It's not personal - It's business. Sure it's never personal when it's not YOU!
