Does anyone have any information about working there currently? Is it still the same, or have they relaxed a bit? How is the chicago office, do you have to travel a lot, what are the hours and pay like?

It will always be the same!!!! Can you read? These posts date back to years and it is the same thing, month after month and year after year. The owner PETE continues to through BS at new candidates telling them that this is the greatest place to work and that they can make tons of money. Both of these are completely untrue!!!!! What is guaranteed is that you will have a different comp plan at least twice per year, you will face the threat of being fired every month after month three when PETE realizes that you are not able to meet the extremely un-realistic sales goals, you will be required to travel a minimum of 8 nights per month and that does not include going to meetings where you will give up weekend days on a routine basis. PETE monitors your expense reports for hotel nights and if you don't do 8 per month which will be stated in your offer letter, you will run the risk of being fired. Most reps actually book hotel nights and then go home just so they don't have to deal with this BS. Another guarantee is that you will have a business plan to sell a specific product and will build that pipeline and work hard to meet the goal set for you with no historic foundation and then after 6 months, you will be forced to sell somehting else. Is it OC Light, OC Auto, ESR, uuuuuuuuu it just depends on which product has too much inventory in NY.

As for the Chicago office. It is the nicest Ghost Town you will ever visit. It was set up with the promise (lie) of staffing it with 20 inside sales people and I believe it is now down to 1 person total. When you go there for training, you will immediately wonder why did I choose this company!!!!!! If you like working for a boss with mental problems who abuses his employees this is the place for you. If not, STAY AWAY. One final word of advise. The only people who stay there for the long term (there are 4) are there becasue they have part ownership in the company and are hoping for a big pay day when the company sells. If they could, they would all get out now but they are in too deep. What a misserable place to work!

Well, I just wanted to let you know that most people DONT actually see you that way. You preached to many of us how much you had our backs and at the first sign of disagreement from Pete, you dropped us like a physician with expiring OC-Light.

Word of advice for your future as a sales manager, dont lie to your reps just to make it sound good, because when you fail on 100% of the things you promised, everyone in turn looks at you as just some cheesy, douchey liar with slicked back hair and a slicker tongue. In essence, you would then become Pete Welsh Part Deux.

Do yourself a favor, stop posting on here to make it look better to future employers, or expect more of the actual truth posts to follow. I worked with you long enough to know it.

The sad part for Brian is that he completely sold his soul and ruined his credibility. He must feel like a complete idiot to come in with his guns blazing and preaching his BS annd then within less than a year was proven to be a 100% FAILURE!! No wonder he was out of work when he came to Polymedco. He ran another company into the ground, what a supprise. I wonder who the next VP of sales at Poly will be? Probably Jay! No, not even Pete is that dumb.

One good thing about Polymedco is that they don't require a drug test to work there. No wonder, you have to be on Crack after reading these posts to work there.

They don't require a drug test because it would be a HUGE added expense for the amount of people they fire then hire, then fire then hire, and so on and so on and so on.....
 








Just an example of what a great company this is. Poly sells OF light to physician offices through PSS but they still have not let their own sales force know PSS is competing for the same business. WOW
 




I was a poly rep for a while....not a long while. To the reps out there that check the boards daily, let me make life a little more fun for you with the only pleasure I got out of that job:

1. Call the 800 number and order a couple of cases of mugs to a different reps house. I used to do this to SB when he lived in FL.

2. When leaving samples - ALWAYS drop a few OC light strips in a mug along with some buffer. Just to be classy.

3. Numbers low this week? Just ship shit. You're not paid on collections...just what ships! PAY ATTENTION.

4. Run interference when they start digging too deep on your daily activities. Always have a few deals that will close in a couple of weeks. Here's the trick - the OC Auto deal that's going to screen 98763498739483749837498 people a month.....that's my mom's best friend...or a relative....or...anybody that even VL or Aaron would understand would make that deal go away if you got fired.

5. When you get another job....don't quit your poly job - the paychecks just keep coming - ask CB.

Just so you know, ALL of the current reps have been hired in the last year because no one's sales career lasts longer than that with the exception of the managers. They always make outrageous promises like moving to management within the year but never come through. These posts should scare you away especially if you currently have a job that doesn't make you want to jump off a tall building. The truth is it could lead to management if Pete has a stroke or brain tumor that alters his personality, but more likely taking the job will lead to the most aggravating 6 months of your entire life then unemployment.

That NY Times Story can't be correct! What about the Kaiser paper from both Northern and Southern California that clearly stated that the POLYMEDCO FIT TEST was the greatest test on earth. Oh yea, that was just another one of Pete's stories...rrrrrrrrr lies....I think we have been waiting for that Kaiser paper for 6 years! Oh well, if we continue to wear our blue and pink ribbon pins, hand out mugs and starbuck cards we can continue to grow the business and then get fired so Pete can make more money off of the backs of his slaves...rrrrrrr reps......bye the way, nice man boobs!

Polymedco Management is such a joke. In what world are Managers doing a good job when they can't train and keep employees for more than a year. Polymedco has gone through HUNDREDS of employees over the past 7 years and they only have three managers. One of these managers is the owners son so he doesn't really count but he is just as responsible as the others for doing such a piss poor job. I guess Pete's little trips to Florida and to the Club for a nice steak is worth it for them but they all suck. If this was a real company, all of the manager's would have been fired years ago for wasting Hundreds of Thousands of dollars hiring and firing. What a Joke!!!!!!!! I don't think any of the managers could make it at any other company. What would thier resume say, I hired and fired over a hundred people in 5 years and couldn't keep one employee.

I will never forget the Friday afternoon when Aaron calls. He tells me how bad I'm doing then compares me to some recent new hires and how good they are doing even though my numbers are higher in revenue for the quarter. This is only one example of many degrading comments but this was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Do you think I gave a **** after that?? Drained every penny I could get out of Polymedco for the next two months while I found another job, then got a 3 week severance. Woooops, already had a job before my last two checks! Anyone hired near May/June 2010 still there, doubt it. I'm not perfect either, but I found another job and hitting my quota and then some for the last year+

Just got back from my first presidents club trip, how bout that for not being as good! Surprised this company is still in business but not surprised the rhetoric hasn't changed

The truth is, if professional conduct and ethics were a requirement for companies then PM would have been history after a couple of years of their shenanigans. This company is in love with lies and deception. In fact the only people who last there are the ones that fit that profile. If you are a pathological lier you might make it there because if there is one thing that impresses a liar, it's a better liar. You will not find more disfunction under one roof than in this place. They could make a reality show out this place because as you know, people are entertained by watching other people screw and abuse other people. My boss is the biggest liar I have ever met and no one can stand him because it was is sickening how every word out of his mouth is a lie. But guess what? Management loves him because he is on board with lying. I have never met so many sociopaths in one place. It almost makes you ask yourself, what is wrong with me?. Oh ya, when you see somenone defend the company on here you can be sure it's one of their managers. They are on here alot and have even had the Cafe remove certain painfull truths. After all they need to hire more reps this week, and every week.
